ObjectivesIt is the first time that Sihua points blood-letting therapy as a traditional treatment techniques used in research of mental disorder. This research is a clinical research to investigate the safety and effectiveness of Sihua points blood-letting therapy treatment to the liver qi stagnation generalized anxiety disorder and also give the scientific evaluation.Methods60 patients were divided into the treatment group and the control group by the method of randomization. Each group contained 30 patients, the treatment group used the Sihua points blood-letting therapy and prescription was Geshu(BL17), Danshu(BL19), each time pricking blood 1-2ml, the first three days receiving blood-letting therapy every day, after that once a week. And the control group used the Alprazolam drug treatment everyday,0.4mg per day. Both of the groups received one course of treatment last four weeks. All the patients were evaluated by SAS measuring scale, HAMA measuring scale, Chinese symptom measuring scale and the quality of life measuring scale. After the treatment, I have compared the efficacy of the two groups.Result1. After 3 days treatment:â‘ Two groups are ineffective to improve the anxiety symptom(P>0.05).â‘¡The treatment group is effective in pre therapy and post-treatment compared to the Chinese symptom measuring scale(P<0.05), and the control group is ineffective in pre therapy and post-treatment compared the Chinese symptom measuring scale(P>0.05).â‘¢The effect of treatment group is better than the control group in improving Chinese symptom. 2. After one course of treatment:â‘ Two groups are effective to improve the anxiety symptom and Chinese symptom(P<0.05).â‘¡According to statistics, there is no significant difference in the effects of two groups in improving anxiety symptom(P>0.05).â‘¢The effect of treatment group is better than the control group in improving Chinese symptom(P<0.05).3. After one course of treatment:According to HAMA measuring scale, the rate of score reduce more than 30%, the treatment can be considered as effective. The result shows the total effective treatment group,64.3%,53.57% in the control group, by comparison, the effective rate of the treatment group and the control group is the same.4. One month after the treatment termination:â‘ There is no significant difference in the treatment group in aspects of anxiety symptom and Chinese symptom(P>0.05).â‘¡The control group is marked differences in anxiety symptom and Chinese symptom (P<0.05).â‘¢The results show the therapeutic of the treatment group lasts longer than the control group.5. According to the quality of life measuring scale:â‘ The two groups are effective in improving the quality of life(P<0.05).â‘¡The therapeutic of the treatment group lasts longer than the control group.Conclusion1. Sihua points blood-letting therapy has certain effect in the treatment of liver qi stagnation generalized anxiety disorder. This therapy is an effective therapy in improving Chinese symptom, and its effect is positive, and fast, moreover, it has the effect of short course treatment characteristics.2. The therapeutic of the treatment group lasts longer than the control group. Blood-letting therapy treatment group has no addiction, no stomach intestine symptom and does not need to take the pills every day. Blood-letting therapy has global accommodation to the human bodies, it has better effect in improving Chinese symptom and quality of life.3. This research explores and explains Sihua points in mental disorder treatment and also gives the scientific evaluation. The result shows that Sihua points blood-letting therapy treatment of liver qi stagnation generalized anxiety disorder has a certain effect.
