Vitreous hemorrhage is one of the most important blinding eye diseases, which cause is very complex.Normal vitreous itself has no blood vessels, the blood usually from the vitreous or choroidal vessels or retinal neovascularization. Vitreous hemorrhage and the extent of damage to the visual plot have more relationship with the number of blood and the presence of retinal choroidal complications when the Blood volume is low, the patient only feel"floaters" symptoms, but when it is large ,it will decrease visual acuity or light perception to hand. Under normal circumstances, no fresh blood in retinal detachment or hole, you can promote through the self-absorption or absorption of drug treatment 3-6 months, if during the floaters like to reduce or ophthalmoscopy compared with the previous observation of reduced blood volume, ultrasonography is not retinal detachment or breaks who do not have to rush to surgery. If a larger blood volume and concomitant retinal detachment or hole, or course of treatment, visual acuity continued to decline, no reduction of blood volume, and retinal complications in time line of retinal laser photocoagulation or vitrectomy for timely effective to save the patients vision. Objective investigate 126 patients in our hospital the cause of vitreous hemorrhage, vitreous hemorrhage causes of gender and age related, provides the basis for the rational choice of treatmentMethods:in our hospital in June 2005 ~ March 2010, led by period of diagnosis of vitreous hemorrhage in 126 patients (130 eyes) with clinical data of hospitalized patients. 76 cases were male and 80 eyes, 50 eyes of 50 cases female, male: female = 1.52:1, age 8 to 75 years. 126 patients will be divided into three groups according to age, including young people under the age of 44, 45 patients aged 45 to 59 years old 37 patients, 60 elderly patients over the age of 44. History of 65 patients with diabetes mellitus, 45 patients were associated with a history of hypertension. According to history, vision, light, light position, color vision, slit lamp, fundus, intraocular pressure, eye AB ultrasonic wave examination, fluorescein angiography findings and intraoperative findings, postoperative examination, analysis of the causes of vitreous hemorrhage, and use statistical Methodology and its Relation-ship with gender and age related. Results:in all patients with vitreous hemorrhage, proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) caused a maximum of 54 patients (42.86%), followed by 37 cases of ocular trauma (29.37%), retinal vein and vein inflammation around the obstruction (RVO) 8 cases were caused by (6.35%), 15 cases (11.90%). 76 Male patients with vitreous hemorrhage caused by ocular trauma accounted for the first 30 cases (39.47%), followed by PDR 27 cases (35.53%), again RVO 7 cases (9.21%), vein inflammation around the 8 eyes in 6 patients (7.89% .) 50 cases of female patients PDR 27 cases (54.00%), RVO 8 cases (16.00%), ocular trauma in 7 cases (14.00%), vein inflammation around 2 cases (4.00%). There were significant differences between men and women constitute the cause (χ2 = 18.21, p<0.05). Young people under the age of 44 patients, eye trauma and vein inflammation around the majority of patients, respectively, were 25 cases (55.56%),8 cases of 10 eyes (17.78%), PDR 6 (13.33%).Aged 45 to 59 years in patients, PDR 21 Example 22 eyes (56.76%), ocular trauma in 7 cases (18.92%), RVO 6 cases (16.22%), vitreous hemorrhage for patients the main reason. 60 patients over the age of, PDR 27 cases with 28 eyes (61.36%), ocular trauma in 5 cases (11.36%), RVO 7 cases (15.91%). Constitute the cause in each age group was significantly different (χ2 = 81.52, p <0.005). Hypertensive retinopathy 4 cases (acid),AMD 2 cases (1.59%), retinal detachment and stage 2 cases (1.59%), 1 case cataract surgery 0.79%), white plug in 1 case (Addison's disease 0.79%), unknown etiology in 2 cases (1.59%).Conclusion:PDR, ocular trauma, RVO, retinal vein inflammation around the vitreous hemorrhage is the most common cause. Ocular trauma, PDR, RVO, retinal vein inflammation around the vitreous of patients are men the main reason, PDR, RVO, female patients with ocular trauma is the main reason for vitreous hemorrhage. Young people under the age of 44 patients, ocular trauma, retinal vein inflammation around the vitreous hemorrhage is the main reason. 45 to 59-year-old middle-aged patients, PDR, ocular trauma, RVO is a major cause of vitreous hemorrhage. People over the age of 60, PDR, RVO is a major factor of vitreous hemorrhage.
