Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and explore the mechanism of treatment for Cervical spondylotic radiculopathy by Tuina Manipulation of give priority to massage Jiaji acupoint.Approach:The diagnostic standards of Cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were according to the "Second National Symposium on Cervical spondylosis"and the "The Diagnostic Guideline in Traditional Chinese Medicine"which provided by National Health Department.A total of 60 patients which fit The diagnostic standards are randomly divided into the treatment group and the comparative group.The former used Tuina Manipulation of give priority to massage Jiaji acupoint, while the latter used neck-recover-granule. After one course of treatment, the clinical efficacy of two groups were determined by their clinical efficacy, integral of symptom and level of pain.Results:Before treatment,the level of pain was assessed in both groups,and the difference was not statistically different (P>0.05).After treatment, the level of pain in both groups decreased significantly(P<0.05),and the difference of two groups was statistically different (P<0.05), the clinical efficacy difference of two groups was statistically different (P<0.05).The integral of symptom change in the groups after treatment were analyzed statistically(P<0.05),and found that the treatment group was significantly superior to that of the comparative group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Both therapies were effective in the treatment of Cervical spondylotic radiculopathy:the level of pain and other symptoms were relieved significantly.However, Tuina Manipulation of give priority to massage Jiaji acupoint.was more effective than neck-recover-granule therapy significantly.
