Research On Physiological And Biochemical Indexes Of Normal Rats Affected By Four Chinese Herbs Based On Four Characteristics

Object:To probe the interaction of the herbs with the function of cold or hot nature and the physiological and biochemical index of the body by selecting two obvious cold Chinese herbs,namely,Gardenia jasminoides Ellis.,Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bge.and two obvious hot Chinese herbs,namely,Eucommia ulmoides oliv.,Cinnamomum cassia Presl.,taking the theory on four characteristics of herbs as the foundation. To reflect the action and tendency on the herbs with the. function of cold or hot nature affecting the indexes of the body.Methods:The herbs,namely,Gardenia jasminoides Ellis.,Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bge.,Eucommia ulmoides oliv.,Cinnamomum cassia Presl.,were selected. The decoction was made according to the clinical application methods. Intra gastric administration was made to the normal rats. The diet,the stool,basic metabolism,physiological and biochemical index of blood,biochemical index of hepatic tissues were observed.Results:It is verified that two obvious hot Chinese herbs have something to do with the decrease of the amount of stool,the increase of blood sugar,the decrease of three relative indexes in the blood routine,the reduce of blood viscosity and plasma viscosity,increasing of activity of Na+-K+-ATP enzyme in the hepatic tissues,the increase of Lactic acid,the increase of pyruvate,the decrease of the organ coefficient. It is also verified that two obvious cold Chinese herbs have something to do with the increase of the amount of stool,the increase of blood sugar,the increase of three relative indexes in the blood routine,the increase of blood viscosity and plasma viscosity,decreasing of activity of Na+-K+-ATP enzyme in the hepatic tissues,the decrease of Lactic acid,the decrease of pyruvate,the increase of the organ coefficient.Conclusions:There is the relationship between the herbs with the function of cold or hot nature selected and the varying of physiological and biochemical index of the body. The research is feasible,which provides some reference for probing the theory on four characteristics of herbs in the future.
