Research On Energy Metabolism In Rats Which Is Affected By Aconite, Curculigo, Coptis, Phellodendron

Object:Through the scientific research of Aconite, Curculigo, Coptis, Phellodendron four herbs on energy metabolism in rats, as an entry point, We want to study Chinese medicine characteristics theory of the scientific content deeply and construct modern Chinese herbal medicine theories.Methods:Choose the two heat herbs of Aconite and Curculigo and the two cold herbs of Coptis and Phellodendron as the test drugs which four characteristics clearly documented, clinical use recognized, academic non-controversial, and chills and fever characteristics significant bias.The four herbs were made to be single decoctions according to the clinical application. Normal rats were administered orally, then observed their general situation,diet, drinking water, urine and feces, basal metabolism, biochemical indices of blood, organ weight and other indicators of normal rats.Results:The effect in food intake, feces, body weight, urine output, rectal temperature, toe temperature, heart rate, hemorheology, ATP and other enzyme activities of energy metabolism are different not only among the four herbs but also the high dose and the low dose of the same herbConclusions:Different characteristics and different doses of herbs can affect energy metabolism in normal rats. It is similar to modern literature. It can provide the basis theory for the further research.
