| Objective:To observe the clinical effect of type 2 diabetes combined reduction in bone mass treated by Bushen Jianpi Huoxue decoction,in order to find the best way to discuss Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment for type 2 diabetes and abnormal bone metabolism.Methods:60 patients were selected with type 2 diabetes combined reduction in bone mass which belong to kidney deficiency, spleen vacuity and blood stasis type were selected and divided into two groups randomly in the research.30 patients (control group), gave conventional calcium. Treatment group was treated with BushenJianpiHuoxue decoction and gave conventional calcium; Both groups were treated for 4 months, observed the changes in bone mineral density (BMD), Urine NTx, Osteocalcin and clinical TCM symptoms before and after treatment in two groups, and analyzed these data with statistic methods.Results:1.The changes of observation items:1)The level of bone mineral density (BMD)and Osteocalcin stepped up while Urine NTx stepped down after treatment in both groups, and there were significant differences (p<0.05) before and after treatment;2),There weren't have different (p>0.05) in bone mineral density (BMD), significantly different in urine NTx and Osteocalcin (p<0.05) between the two groups.3) There were very significant differences (p<0.01) between the traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores before and after in the treatment group, while there were differences (p<0.05) between the traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores before and after in the control group. There were very significant differences (p<0.01) between the two groups in the difference between TCM symptom scores before and after treatment, the treatment group is superior to the control group in improvement of traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores.2.The evaluation of curative effect:1) The Change of bone mineral density:thereweren't have different (p>0.05) between the two groups.2) The Change of Urine NTx and Osteocalcin:there were significant different (p<0.05) between the two groups.3)The improvements of TCM symptoms:The efficacy of the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group.3.Safety evaluation:There were no side effects discovered in both group during the treatment.Conclusion:BushenJianpiHuoxue decoction made an important role in improving Urine NTx and Osteocalcin Of male patients with type 2 diabetes combined reduction in bone mass, while the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in improving traditional Chinese medicine symptom. For the preliminary view, BushenJianpiHuoxue decoction is an effective prescription in treating type 2 diabetes combined reduction in bone mass.
