Objective:Acne is a common effected appearance disease, likely to occur during puberty, easy to relapse, account about 30% of outpatients. After the inflammation subsided, more Hyperpigmentation due to acne left in the acne facial. Spontaneous regression of pigmentation is very slowly after the acne and it is very unsightly. It seriously affects the beauty and quality of life of patients. Even have low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, irritability and other psychological abnormalities. At the same time in the work our research forAcne treatment,we also take some time to give close attention to recovery of Hyperpigmentation due to acne, we found a new method to cure Hyperpigmentation that through Pricking blood therapy to Erjian and moxibustion.Through clinical observation, we found that the method can significantly speed up the Hyperpigmentation due to acne's recovery. However, the conclusion is still lack of a rigorous clinical trial to provide stronger evidence. In this study, eligible subjects were randomly divided into two by the treatment group and control group, treatment group received Erjian pricking blood and Moxibustion, the control group treated with no treatment.Through observed the effect after treatment of facial Hyperpigmentation due to acne,we can objective evaluate the method's efficacy and safety.Methods:(1)This clinical study used A randomized controlled trial (RCT). The data for 140 patients,70 in treatment group,70 in control group. (2)The treatment group with Pricking blood therapy to Erjian and moxibustion, Erjian pricking blood one time per 5 days, Moxibustion 2 times a day. A total treatment course of 60 days. The control group with no treatment. (3)After observation, quantification of all data, use statistical software SPSS 19.0 to analyse. Results: The all cases were from outpatients of Dermatology,The second Chinese Medicine Hospital of Sichuan province, July 2009 to December 2010. Two groups' age, gender, course of disease, clinical grade, rating points of symptoms were all comparable. The results showed that:â‘ Proven clinical efficacy, the clinical cure,Treatment group 31 cases (46.27%), the control group 7 cases (10.77%). Effective rate,56.71% in treatment group,20.00% in control group. The statistical test, p<0.05, statistically significant. The overall effect and the effective rate of the treatment group higher than control group's.â‘¡Comparative Efficacy of the main symptoms. Compared to the control group, the rating points of pigmentation's degree, number of pigment, the size of pigmented skin lesions, emotional impact, by statistical tests, all p-values less than 0.01, significant difference. All rating points higher than control group's. Conclusion:(1) Clinical value:This study to the guidance of TCM theory, points by quantitative classification,140 patients were randomized, controlled clinical study. The study confirmed that Pricking blood therapy to Erjian and moxibustion for the treatment of Acne Hyperpigmentation has improved the results, they are effective ways to eliminate the deposition of excess melanin. It is easy-to-use for clinicians and very safe to cured patients. (2)Problems and prospects:â‘ There is no generally accepted way as the treatment of hyperpigmentation acne, so the control group's design is not very reasonable.â‘¡The study have no relevant laboratory parameters as the special nature of clinical work. Although the use of pictures to show the clinical efficacy of intuitive, it can't explain the underlying mechanisms of this treatment.â‘¢Research methods to be further improved.
