Maturity refers to the individual corresponding to their age at the completion of the task onthe career of psychological readiness. Career maturity is an important factor which influencecareer choice and development of individual,and also is the main clue of career. At present,domestic and international research on career maturity gradually increased, but specifically forcivilian military nursing jobs (the civilian) for the career maturity research also have not beenreported. With the streamlining and reorganization army, military nurses decreasing, civilianmilitary hospital nurses has become the main force. Various occupational stress, the militarycivilian career has brought new challenges to adapt, but also led to different levels ofoccupational stress. Therefore, understanding the Army civilian career maturity, give them areasonable career planning and guidance has become urgent problem.The purpose: The preparation of suitable military civilian career maturity questionnaire,and then the Army civilian career maturity and its influences to investigate.Method: Based on the extensive literature review, combined with our army civilian workcharacteristics of nurses to Crites "Career Adjustment and Development Inventory" in the sixdevelopment tasks based on established indicators of professional maturity questionnairepreliminary program. According to the selection of research in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing,Xi'an, three A-level in 10 provinces and Cities of the 30 military hospital nurse specialist (12military hospitals, three Military Medical University and its affiliated hospitals) object as aconsultant to carry out two round of consultation letter. Based on the literature analysis, usingDelphi, open-ended questionnaires and psychological methods such as surveying, after severalmodifications, the initial preparation of the 80 entries, including career maturity measurementtool. By the six Beijing Military Region Hospital, 270 nurses, of the results using SPSS13.0 itemanalysis and exploratory factor analysis and reliability and validity testing, and then makechanges on the scale, the final 76 entries in the formation of military civilian nurses CareerMaturity questionnaire.And the Locus of Control Scale and Coping Inventory as a research tool,the Beijing Military Region 6 hospitals of 310 selected non-commissioned civilian nursesstudy to investigate the maturity of their situation and to explore the career maturity factors.Results:1,Definition:Army civilian career maturity is the appropriate level of nurses in theirstage of career development can be combined with their own goals, cognition, emotion,behavior and ability to achieve with regard to the adaptation of the work of nursing, determined to learn more about career professional environment, capacity requirements and futuredevelopment in the career path, identify their current position and career goals of the gap, fightfor their own career goals .2,Career maturity questionnaire from the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral capacitylevel indicators 3, 8 and 76 entries the secondary indicators formed. Cognitive evaluation ofwhich include: professional role cognition, the role of the army civilian cognitive; emotionalevaluation indicators include: professional sensibility; ability and behavior evaluation indicatorsinclude: the relationship between colleagues, organizational adaptation, emotional control, jobcompetence and self- management by objectives. Various secondary indicators include thenumber of items in the range. Surveying on the scale properties of the test results showed that theoverall Cronbach'sαfactor questionnaire and 0.943, the dimensions of 0.743~0.878Cronbachs'αcoefficient; the overall split-half reliability was 0.895; split-half reliability of eachdimension is 0.751~0.843; questionnaire content validity was 0.962.3,Survey:1)Army Civilian overall low level of professional maturity, especially in theroles of the individual cognitive factors such as lower scores;2)Age nursing time, whether theyare over reward, whether involved in the key task of the army civilian significant differencebetween the maturity;3)Army civilian career maturity and coping style (positive type) showed asignificant positive correlation, the military civilian career maturity and locus of control wassignificantly negatively correlated.
