Investigation And Research On Career Maturity Of Nursing Students In Different Academic In Jilin Province

Objective:Nursing students are the future of nursing career, concerning about the education of nursing students,concerning about the career maturity of nursing students are concerning about the future of nursing career. In our country, medical institutions have been carrying out several of career counseling, career maturity is a very good starting point. Comprehending career maturity of nursing students, further understanding the preparations for the future of nursing students, make use of nursing educators have target to adjust corresponding education,carry out employment guidance. This study focuses on understanding the career maturity of nursing students in different academic in Jilin province, discussing nursing students in different degree whether there were differences in career maturity, and what factor leading to the differences, further analysis the influence led by different factors on the career maturity, and discussing the significance and meaning of introducing the career maturity of nursing students into nursing education and career planning.Methods:1.The research objects are undergraduate,college students,secondary school students come from five different academic nursing institutions of full-time education. Using the method of stratified random sampling to choose the samples. 820 questionnaires were distributed, 796 copies are the valid questionnaires, and effective rate is 97.07%.2. This study choose the questionnaire survey, the questionnaire consisted of two parts, there are general survey and《Career Maturity Inventory》compile by Zhongshan Sun and other scholars come from Taiwan, the inventory consisted of 51 questions, divided into eight dimensions. Assessed for each subject by Likert-type five-point self-rating scale to score, the lowest average score is 1, and the highest is 5.3. Set up database by EpiData and analyze the data by SPSS13.0.Results:1. The average of career maturity of nursing students in different academic in Jilin province is 3.65, and in eight dimensions of career maturity, three dimensions'mean are lower than 3.65. 2. Career maturity of nursing students in different academic have significantly difference (P=0.000<0.001), and there are significantly difference in eight dimensions (P=0.000<0.001).3. Comparing the career maturity of secondary school nursing students in different grade, P=0.028<0.05; Comparing the career maturity of college nursing students in different grade, P=0.000<0.001; Comparing the career maturity of undergraduate nursing students in different grade, P=0.016<0.05.4. Comparing nursing students'various factors on the career maturity and each dimension, whether one-child P=0.005<0.05, whether participation in social practice initiative P=0.000<0.05 , selection mode of nursing P=0.000<0.05, father's education level P=0.000<0.05.5. Choose linear regression analysis to compare the relevance of the factors on the eight dimensions of career maturity of nursing students, gender,family residence,education,grade,whether one-child,selection mode of nursing,whether participation in social practice initiative,parents'education level,whether their parents engage in medical-related career have different effects on the eight dimensions.Conclusion:1. The level of career maturity of nursing students in different academic in Jilin province is not extensive, need to improve further more.2. There are difference in career maturity and eight dimensions of nursing students in different academic.3. Undergraduate,college students,secondary school students in nursing institutions at different grade have difference in career maturity and eight dimensions.4. Career maturity and eight dimensions of nursing students in different academic have difference in whether one-child,selection mode of nursing,whether participation in social practice initiative,father's education level.5.There are relevance between eight dimensions of career maturity of nursing students and gender,family residence,education,grade,whether one-child,selection mode of nursing,whether participation in social practice initiative,parents'education level,whether their parents engage in medical-related career.
