Research On The Current Situation And Influencing Factors Of Career Maturity Of Nursing Undergraduates

ObjectivesTo describe the career maturity of nursing undergraduates and explore the influencing factors of career maturity of nursing undergraduates province Methods(1)This study was designed as a cross-sectional descriptive study.A total of 1013 nursing undergraduates from 4 nursing universities in Guangdong province were selected by cluster convenience sampling method.General demographic data,career locus of control scale of nursing undergraduates and career maturity scale of undergraduates were used for investigation.(2)Analysis using SPSS13.0 software,count data description with frequency,percentage,mean,standard deviation measurement data used to describe,correlation analysis of continuous variables using Pearson correlation analysis,measurement data using t test or analysis of variance,the influence factors analysis using statistical methods of multivariate linear regression analysis of data for statistical analysis.Results(1)The results of descriptive research on vocational maturity of nursing undergraduates: the survey of nursing undergraduates' career maturity score is(3.22±0.27),scoring from high to low in each dimension respectively relational dependence(3.62±0.58),career value(3.48±0.55),career confident(3.26 ± 0.60),career reference(3.18 ± 0.51),career confidence(3.03 ± 0.58),career independent(2.82±0.59).(2)Correlation analysis results of career control source and career maturity of nursing undergraduates: internal career locus of control is positively correlated with the career maturity level of nursing undergraduates(P<0.05),while opportunity career locus of control,low career effectiveness and otherness career locus of control are negatively correlated with the career maturity level of nursing undergraduates(P<0.05).(3)Single factor analysis of vocational maturity of nursing undergraduates: the grade of nursing undergraduates,scholarship for situation,as a student cadre,choose the main reason for the nursing profession,nursing related professional,want to do after graduation of career maturity,mother's education level score between the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).(4)The results of multivariate analysis of vocational maturity of nursing undergraduates:the factors which affect the career maturity has six variables into the regression equation,the order in which independent variables entered the regression equation was grade,the main reason for choosing nursing major,whether to engage in nursing related career after graduation,low career efficacy,otherness career locus of control and internal career locus of control,which explained the square difference of career maturity of undergraduate nursing students of 37.9%.It can be seen from the standardized partial regression coefficient that the largest variable affecting the effect is low career efficacy,and the other variables are grade,the main reason for choosing nursing major,whether to engage in nursing related occupation after graduation,internal career locus of control,otherness career locus of control.Conclusions(1)The career maturity of nursing undergraduates is above average.(2)The most influential variable of career maturity of nursing undergraduates is low career effectiveness.
