Objective To study the correlation between the drift rate of serum IL-2/IL-6 and 131â… turnover rate in patients with Graves disease. Graves disease is one of the organ specific autoimmune disease. The main immune imbalance is the drift of IL-2/IL-6 cytokines. Thl main mediated cellular immune. Th2 main mediated humoral immune. As the immune imbalances, the thyroid cell was stimulated by different sytokines, which would eventually lead to thyroid hyperfunction and iodine rate increase. In this study, we selected IL-2 represented cytokines of Thl, IL-6 represented cytokines of Th2, and analyzed the correlation between the drift rate of serum IL-2/IL-6 and 131â… turnover rate to look for the evidences of clinical treatment of Graves disease.Method Selecting 60 patients who had been diagnosed Graves disease from September to December in 2010 and requested 131â… treatment as the research object. And 30 healthy human whose thyroid hormone had been proven normal as control. After extracting patient's blood at empty stomach in the morning, we used radiation radioimmuoassay to detect serum IL-2 and IL-6. Analysising the IL-2 and IL-6 between patients and controls, and the correlation between the drift rate of IL-2/IL-6 and thyroid 131â… turnover rate of patients with SPSS 13.0 software.Results Because the statistical of IL-2,IL-6 131â… turnover rate in patients'peripheral blood did not obey the normal distribution, so adopted the non-parameter test.1 Wilcoxon Rank sum test analysis:(1) The GD group IL-2 level obviously lower than normal controls, Z=-5.824 (P<0.001), suggested that the statistical significance.(2) The GD group IL-6 level obviously higher than normal controls, Z=-5.32 (P<0.001), suggested that the statistical significance.(3) The GD group131â… turnover rate obviously higher than normal controls, Z=-3.23 (P<0.001), suggested that the statistical significance.2 Simple correlation analysis: Because those statistical date did not obey normal distribution, so adopted the spearman rank correlation analysis. (1) The spearman's rank correlation coefficient between serum IL-2 and 131â… turnover rate r=-0.06 (p>0.05),suggested that there was no correlation between serum IL-2 and 131â… turnover rate.(2) The spearman's rank correlation coefficient between serum IL-6 and 131â… turnover rate r=-0.12 (p>0.05) suggested that there was no correlation between serum IL-6 and 131â… turnover rate.(3) The spearman's rank correlation coefficient between the drift rate of serum IL-2/IL-6 and thyroid 131â… turnover rate r=-0.09 (p>0.05), suggested that there was no correlation between the drift rate of serum IL-2/IL-6 and 131â… turnover rate.Conclusions Graves disease patients peripheral blood IL-2 level obviously reduced, while IL-6 level increased significantly, IL-2/IL-6 lymphocyte subsets was partial to Th2, immune was in favour of humoral immune. There was no correlation between IL-2,IL-6,the drift rate of IL-2/IL-6 and 131â… turnover rate in Graves disease patients.
