Objective:Based on cross-sectional investigation of students, this thesis analyzes the status quo of premenstrual syndrome. Furthermore, we discuss the relationships of premenstrual syndrome,coping style and psychological health, and find the dangerous factors for the premenstrual syndrome.It will provide a reference to establish the corresponding preventive health care in the clinic. At the same time,we comfirm the main point of health education to strengthen health acceleration, and improve the coping style for nursing students.Methods:Using the method of group sampling, the 700 nursing students are randomly extracted to carry on the cross-sectional investigation by the class as a unit, which is done by premenstrual syndrome scale, self-designing questionaire, symptom checklist 90(SCL-90)and simplified coping style questionaire. First, carried on the present condition analysis of premenstrual syndrome and further carried on the relationships of the coping style, psychological health.Results:The effective rate of investigation is 94.1%(the effective questionaire is 659 among 700),and the results are presentde as below: (1)The incidence rate of premenstrual syndrome in the nursing students is 37.9% including the mild of 70.8%, the moderate of 25.2% and the nursing students is 25.2% and the severe of 4.0%.(2)The incidence rate of premenstrual syndrome urban nursing students is 33.9% and countryside nursing students'is 39.7%. It's not statistical significance.(3)Significant difference is found within students who have experienced important life events or not. The incidence rate of PMS students who have experienced important life events is 47.2% and those haven't experienced important life events is 36.1%.(4)The difference between regular and irregular menstruation is obvious. The rate of PMS among regular menstruation nursing students is 31.5%,and the irregular menstration nursing students is 54.6%.(5)The difference of the relationship with classmates is obvious. The incidence rate of PMS in the good relationship unit is 31.8%, the general relationship unit is 42.1% and the bad relationship unit is 83.3%.(6)The difference of the coping style is obvious between the positive coping and passive coping in PMS nursing students and non-PMS nursing students. The score of positive coping of non-PMS nursing students are general above PMS nursing students'.But the score of passive coping is contrary. At the same time, PMS nursing students usually pefer to choose passive coping, but non-PMS nursing students is contrary.(7) The analysis of SCL-90 shows that somatization, compulsion, interpersonal relation, depression and anxiety factors of PMS nursing students are higher than non-PMS nursing students, and these have statistical significance. The multi-factor analysis shows that depression, regular menstruation or not,somatization, compulsion and psyclopathy are important factors for PMS.Conclusion:The incidence rate of premenstrual syndrome in nuring students approaches to 37.9%, including the mild of 70.8% and the severe of 0.4%. The relationship among PMS, coping style and psychological health is obvious. So it is important to bring up nursing student a positive coping style and good psychology mentality to prevent PMS.
