| Objective:According to the pathogenic peculiarity of toxicity, stasis and enervation obstruction, "jian pi hua ji fang" based on the therapeutic principle of Yiqi and jian pi, detoxicating and resolving a mass was studied out for intrinsic liver cancer, combined with TACE to observe the effects of the treatment and to probe into its mechanism of action. Methods:41 subjects with intrinsic liver cancer were randomly divided into two groups,21 patients in the treated group were administered with "jian pi hua ji fang" and TACE(EPI+OXA),20 in the control group with TACE. Objective effects and the changes of subjective symptoms were studied during two periods of treatment. Results:After two periods of treatment, the subjective symptoms, KPS, weights, immune parameters were significantly improved in the treated group, better than in the control one. The syndrome after embolism and damnification to liver function were also slighter than the control one. But there was no difference between two groups on the size of focus and the changes of knubbly marker such as AFP.Conclusion:"jian pi hua ji fang" combined with TACE have synergia curative effect on treating intrinsic liver cancer.
