Purpose:To observe the clinical efficacy of combining accupotomy and manipulative treatment in order to find a fast and effective treatment to reduce pain period for frozen shoulder.Method:50 patients with frozen shoulder were divided into two groups. They are the treatment group (35 cases) and the control group (15 cases). Through the establishment of the treatment group (acupotomy and manipulation group) and control group (conventional chlorzoxazone tablets, bendazol, Fenbid spansule and other oral anti-inflammatory analgesics group), the degree of shoulder pain and activity functional improvement scoring are observed and compared to evaluate the effectiveness between the groups. Results:The result between treatment group and control group in terms of pain, function and activity score, it is concluded that P<0.01 shows statistically significant differences, indicating the treatment group has better effect than the control group. After treatment, symptoms were improved for both groups. However the efficacy of the treatment group is better than the control group. The total effective rate was 100%Conclusion:Acupotomy combined with manipulation can relieve symptoms in patients with frozen shoulder, it enhances clinical efficacy and its effect is better than chlorzoxazone tablets, bendazol, Fenbid spansule other oral anti-inflammatory analgesic. This method of Chinese and Western treatment where it utilizes the advantages of best of both worlds, can achieve the immediate relief of pain for frozen shoulder and provide a complete treatment.
