Objiective:To explore the level, occurence and influencing factors of organizational commitments of Maternal and Child Health Personnel in urumqi so as to compaire their organizational commitments and intention of resignation. The results were found to have a signifi impact on improving the level of Maternal and Child Health Personnel and development of hospital consistently.Methods:Through the Maternal and Child Health Personnel's three stage network, we can find certain subjects. All Maternal and Child Health Personnel filled the Questionnaire on organiotional commitment and intention of resignation.By using a statistical software package(SPSS for windows, version 12.0),T test,one-way analysis and correlation of these variable were subsequently performed. Results:1)There were no diffenrences in the Maternal and Child Health Personne's organizational commitment and intention of resignation such as age, marital status, educational background, position, job type and salary。2) sex, length of service and different units of work are important factors which influence continuance commitment and affective commitment. Sex and different units of work are important factors which influence normative commitment. sex, length of service and different units of work are important factors which influence regulational commitment. sex, different nation,professional title and character of employment are important factors which influence turnover intention.3)Age was correlated with continuance commitment and regulational commitment. Length of service and salary were not correlated.with regulational commitment and turnover intention.4) Maternal and Child Health Personnel's organizational commitment has a positive correlation with three dimensions: affective commitment, normative commitment and continuance commitment, moreover, there are positive correlations among these three dimensions.5) Maternal and Child Health Personnel's organizational commitment has a negative correlation with their turnover intention.Conclusion:There is a difference to a certain extent in individual characteristic variables in respect of organizational commitment and turnover intention of Maternal and Child Health Personnel in Urumqi City. To what extent of their organizational commitment (with three dimensions involved) which can safely predicate their turnover intention indicates that,through raising the level of their organizational commitment, both the awareness of the importance of the organization and the cohesion can be enhanced, and separation rate can be decreased accordingly, therefore, efficiency of human resources management can be improved, minimizing the brain drain to the full extent consequently.
