| Purpose:Use the method of acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine to treat PSD-yin-xu-huo-wang- based and observe the clinical healing effect of this method. Provide a safe effective method for treating PSD.Method:Divide the 60 patients qualified for PSD into the acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine group and control group randomly. Both groups have 30 cases, 3 to 6 months duration. The acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine group: Male 11 cases, 19cases of women, aged from 40-72 years old, on average 58±7.98 years old. Control group: Male 17 cases, 13 cases of women, aged from 42-73 years old, on average 57±7.49 years old. Besides the conventional treatment for PSD, the acupuncture group took the Chinese medicine"zi shui qin gan yin"and the acupuncture treatment. Select the most important acupuncture point contained baihui shenmen shenting taixi sanyinjiao. The control group took the medicine Flupentixol and Melitracen Tablets, one pill a time, twice a day ,in the morning and noon. Both groups took the 17 items Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) and the Chinese Medicine Symptoms of Depression Scale before the treatment then received 4 weeks treatment as a period and treated two periods continually, then took the 17 items Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD), the Chinese Medicine Symptoms of Depression Scale and the SERS test after 4 weeks treatment and 8 weeks treatment.Result:1. Patients of the two groups have significant difference (P <0.01) before and after treatment according to the score of HAMD scale score, Chinese Medicine Symptoms of Depression Scale. It indicate that the acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine group is better than the control group on improving depressive state and Chinese medicine symptoms of the patients. 2. Patients of the two groups have significant difference (P <0.05) after 4 weeks and 8 weeks treatment according to the score of HAMD scale score, Chinese Medicine Symptoms of Depression Scale. It indicated that the acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine group is better and faster than the control group on improving depressive state and Chinese medicine symptoms.3. Patients of the two groups have significant difference (P <0.05) on clinical healing effect after 4 weeks and 8 weeks treatment. It indicated that the acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine group is better than the control group.4. Side effect, the acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine group have no significant difference (P >0.05) after treatment according to the score of SERS scale score; the control group have significant difference (P <0.05) after treatment according to the score of SERS scale score after treatment. It indicated that the acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine group is much better than the control group on the side effect.Conclusion:1. The method of acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine to treat PSD-yin-xu-huo-wang- based have a good clinical effect.2. The method of acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine to treat PSD-yin-xu-huo-wang- based have the desired effect rapidly and it is better than taking Flupentixol and Melitracen Tablets singly on clinical effect.3. The method of acupuncture coordinated with Chinese medicine to treat PSD-yin-xu-huo-wang- based is less than taking Flupentixol and Melitracen Tablets on the side effect.
