Background:At present,the study on inheritance and development of academic schools of traditional Chinese medicine is the key point of developmental strategy of TCM,where the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine has attached great importance to.The existence of TCM schools is an important prerequisite for the inheritance and development of Chinese medicine,and the way of inheriting the academic schools as the main carrier is also an important form of cultivating TCM talents.The school of constitution is one of the main academic schools identified by "academic schools of traditional Chinese medicine research"group of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and the principal representative is Wang Qi,the national master of TCM physician in the second term.The school itself has a unique academic thoughts and theoretical system,including academic heirs,post-doctors,doctoral students,graduate students,follow-up learners,scholars and other multi-level academic followers.The inheritance of the school of constitution not only obey to the educational methods of traditional inheriting,but also integrate with the modern educational characteristics of TCM universities.Under this time background,there is little research on inheritance of schools at home and abroad.Objectives:The purpose of this study is to explore under the inheriting process of TCM constitution school and the mentoring process of teacher Wang Qi and his disciples,the disciples in what aspects are influenced by the teacher,and this is the simple interpretation of"inheritance content" about the study.In this paper,the research questions mainly include:in the process of learning with the teacher,what aspects did the disciples have deep feelings on(diagnostic ideas,characteristics of prescription,how to deal with doctor-patient relationships,how to handle teacher-student relationships,how to handle work and learning matters or other aspects).After learning with the teacher,under the influence of the teacher,in what areas did the disciples strengthen the understanding or have a practical change.Methods:In this study,the "grounded theory" put forward by Strauss and Corbin was regarded as the research method,the sampling method for the purpose of sampling,theoretical sampling and snowball sampling were applied,taking into account the interviewee age,education background,research direction and the relationship between teachers and other factors,selecting 21 people from Wang Qi's academic heritage pedigree in accordance with the principle of roughly equal to the screening of the heirs,post-doctors,doctoral students,graduate students,Qi Huang class disciples,follow-up learners,and undertaking semi-structured interviews(transcription of a total of 191196 words)which include the experience and achievement of learning with the teacher,and collected some publication and opinions by Wang Qi as a supplement to the relevant information.All interviews are recorded and transcribed in text,in the form of word documents.The qualitative research support software Nvivo 11 Chinese version was employed for the sorting and analysis,through the program-based three-step theory,that is open landing,associated landing,axis-type landing on the three-level data,then conclude the final theme.Results:This study explores the core theme of "The inheritance content of constitution school of National TCM master Wang Qi",and through the repeated comparison,summarization and refinement of the information,it is clear that the inheritance of TCM school is not only the inheritance of a medical technology,but also in the process of mentoring many other factors,so the main theme under the cover of the three core categories are "medical methods","medical skills",and "medical instruments",and thus establish the initial construction of the"The inheritance content of constitution school of National TCM master Wang Qi" theoretical framework."Medical methods" contains five subfamilies,namely,"TCM thoughts","medical ethics","scholarship character","cultural accumulation","be a model for others".These are the "physical" level content of TCM constitution school;"Medical instruments" is mainly about emphasizing on development and modification of auxiliary means under the guidance of the unique TCM school,which belongs to the "metaphysical" level content of TCM constitution school;"Medical skills" mainly contains three subfamilies,that is,"diagnosis","prescription" and "efficacy".These are the bridge that connect "medical methods" and"medical instruments"Conclusion:This study initially constructed the theoretical framework of "The inheritance content of constitution school of National TCM master Wang Qi",which provides some reference for the follow-up study of the inheritance content of constitution school.
