"Canon of Medicine" by Avicenna (980~1037AD) as the representative in the heyday of the Western traditional medicine, (who posses the highest achievements in medicine as a representative to medieval medicine and Arabic medicine), inherited and developed from ancient Greek physician "medical Father of Medicine" Hippocrates (460~377BC) and the ancient Roman physician Galen(129~200AD). Avicenna has been highly reputed as "Arabic Medicine Prince" in medical history.This paper selected "theoretical system and fatigue" from "Canon of Medicine" by Avicenna as two key representatives of the object for comparative study. "Canon of Medicine" in the West represents a theoretical system of traditional medicine thinking reasoning framework, the practice of medicine is under the guidance of his theory to be dominated and interpretation. "Canon of Medicine" reflects the careful observation of Avicenna on medical and the differences and similarities in medical perspective. Domestic scholars dedicated to the macro framework of the multi-comparison, but there is no concrete concept of comparative studies. This article describes, in part one, four natural faculties, four elements, natural heat, associated with the six climatic factors, Yin and Yang, Qi, fire, life gate etc. of TCM, except for macro-theory framwork. And made them to be compared and analyzed, in order to identify similarities and differences, straighten out the true meaning of the basic theory of "Canon of Medicine"; furthermore, comprehensively analyze and sum up,around fatigue etiology,pathology, syndrome and treatment between TCM and Western medicine in part two."Fatigue",in Western history, has experienced from the "symptoms" to "illness" in the research process. In modern society, the proportion of sub-health population to reach about 70% in China. Fatigue, is one of the major symptoms for a patient, and it can even develop to an independent illness—"chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) ". How to eliminate fatigue, rapidly recover to normal, to help modern people who undertake high pressures from the fierce competition, is a common wish in modern medical field.It is a long history of traditional Chinese medicine to treat fatigue illness by certain regimens and therapeutics. These methods and theory have influence modern medicine and our social societies. In particular, bloodletting therapy, fasting therapy and bathing treatments in "Canon of Medicine" used in fatigue are outstanding, worthy of studying to Chinese people. The purpose of this paper is to, through the "Canon of Medicine" and traditional Chinese medicine in fatigue comparison, provide a multi-folded basis for the treatment of fatigue. Particularly, medical speculations and detailed experience from "Canon of Medicine", will also help TCM phycisians to treat fatigue, psychosomatic illness, sub-health in a macro-medical standpoint.
