Object:To investigate the quality of life in patients with diabetes mellitus, who with micro-albuminuria but without renal insufficiency.Methods:A randomized case-controlled study was conducted by a representative diabetes sample comes from the endocrinology in the second affiliated hospital zhejiang university college of medicine was used to estimate the quality of life. There are 30 diabetes patients divided into two groups. And one of them are 17patients with micro-albuminuria. Quality of life was measured through the WHOQOL-100(the WHO quality of life questionnaire) and ADDQOL(the audit of Diabetes Dependent Quality of life).And there are 30 people who come from jinhua central hospital. We used WHOQOL-100 to measure the quality of life.Results:there are significant difference in quality of life between the diabetes group with micro-albuminuria and the control group (P<0.05). and there is no significant difference in quality of life between the diabetes group with micro-albuminuria and the group without micro-albuminuria (P>0.05).Conclusions:the results suggest that the quality of life in diabetes is lower than the normal people, however, in the premise of normal renal function, the quality of life of the diabetes patient with micro-albuminuria doesn't matter.
