Objective:To investigate the effects of Granule-MaJie on IL-4 and IFN-y in the plasma of allergic rhinitis(AR) rats and provide the theoretical data for clinical apply of Granule-MaJie.Methods:20 male and 20 female SD rats were divided into 4 groups at random(10 in each):the normal control group,the model group,the positive medicine group and Granule-MaJie group. Except for the normal control group,the rest groups were sensitized by injection with OVA.During the course of treatment, the nasal symptoms and the accumulative scores of all rats were observed.After treatment the blood were drawn from abdominal aorta of all rats.The histamine content in the plasma were determined by fluorospectrophotometry and the content IFN-γand IL-4 in the plasma were determined by ELISA. The experimental data were analyzed using statistical software of SPSS13.0.Results:1. Compared with the normal control group, the accumulative scores of the local nasal symptoms were remarkably increased in the rest three groups before administration(P<0.01),but there were not significantly differences among them (P>0.05).2. Compared with the normal control group, the accumulative scores of the local nasal symptoms were remarkably increased in the model group(P<0.01),tablet-Xinqin group(P<0.05);the scores were remarkably decreased in Granule-MaJie group and tablet-Xinqin group(P<0.01),but there were not significantly difference between them (P>0.05).3. Compared with the normal control group, the content of histamine were remarkably increased in the model group(P<0.01); Compared with the model group, it was remarkably decreased in Granule-MaJie group and tablet-Xinqin group(P<0.01); Compared with tablet-Xinqin group, it was not remarkably decreased in Granule-MaJie group.4. Compared with the normal control group, the content of IL-4 were remarkably increased in the rest three groups(P<0.05); Compared with the model group, it was remarkably decreased in Granule-MaJie group and tablet-Xinqin group(P<0.05);Compared with tablet-Xinqin group, it was remarkably decreased in Granule-MaJie group(P<0.05).5. Compared with the normal control group, the content of IFN-γwere remarkably decreased in the model group(P<0.05); Compared with the model group, it was remarkably increased in the rest three groups(P<0.05); Compared with tablet-Xinqin group, it was not remarkably increased in Granule-MaJie group.6. Compared with the normal control group, IL-4/IFN-γwas remarkably different between the model group and tablet-Xinqin group(P<0.05); Compared with the model group, it was remarkably different among the rest three groups(P<0.05); Compared with tablet-Xinqin group, it was not remarkably different in Granule-MaJie group.Conclusion:1.Granule-MaJie was effective in the treatment of AR and could amendment the local nasal symptoms of AR rats.2. Granule-MaJie could decrease the contents of histamine.3. Granule-MaJie could decrease the contents of IL-4, increase the content of IFN-γin the plasma of AR rats and adjust IL-4/IFN-γ. The mechanism of Granule-MaJie in the treatment of AR might be related to all these factors.
