Relationship Of Myeloperoxidase And Interleukin-6 With Coronary Artery Lesion In Acute Myocardial Infarction Patients

Objective:To evaluate the relationship of the level of MPO and IL-6 with coronary lesion in acute myocardial infarction patient.Method:59 patients were divided into AMI group (n=31) and normal control group (n=28), all patients were received selective coronary angiogram. AMI group were also divided into one, two and three vessel group; All patients were divided into≤20 group,21~40 group and > 40 group according to the Gensini Score System and evaluated the level of serum MPO and IL-6.Result:The level of MPO in AMI group were significantly higher than control group (t=5.894, P<0.01); The level of IL-6 in AMI group were significantly higher than control group (t=3.234, P<0.01); The level of MPO in three-vessel group, two-vessel group and one-vessel group was (475.33±322.97 ng/ml,287.30±225.96 ng/ml,158.67±80.88 ng/ml). Furthermore, the level of MPO has increasing tendency with the rang e of lesion increased and there was statistical difference (F=53.74 7,P<0.01). The level of IL-6 in three-vessel group, two-vessel gro up and one-vessel group was (180.17±93.46 pg/ml,87.10±25.13 pg/ml,77.22±20.19 pg/ml), Furthermore, the level of MPO has increasing te ndency with the range of lesion increased and there was statistical difference (F=33.820, P<0.01). The level of MPO in>40 group,21~4 0 group and≤20 group was (615.20±247.51 ng/ml,234.43±141.86 ng/ ml,81.57±38.43 ng/ml), Furthermore, the level of MPO has increasin g tendency with the range of lesion increased and there was statisti cal difference (F=163.841, P<0.01). The level of IL-6 in>40 group, 21~40 group and≤20 group was (188.10±100.07 pg/ml,92.86±34.24 pg/ml,78.14±15.45 pg/ml), Furthermore, the level of MPO has increa sing tendency with the range of lesion increased and there was stati stical difference (F=34.978, P<0.01).Conclusion:1. the level of MPO and IL-6 in AMI group were significan tly higher than control group.2. The level of MPO and IL-6 in AMI gr oup was positively related with the range of lesion and severity of s tenosis.3. MPO and IL-6 is a biological index to predict the severit y of artery lesion in AMI patients.
