ObjectiveTo detect the expression of hypoxia inducible factor1a (HIF-1a) and Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in the ovarian carcinoma. Based on age, clinical stage, pathologic grade, in the HIF-la and COX-2 expression, to further explore the two and ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma of clinical inter-relationship between pathological factors and the relationship between them.Methods1.Tissue collectionSpecimens from the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University in May 2005-2008 years in October resection of ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma specimens of 46 cases, Borderline ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma in 15 cases, Ovarian serous cystadenoma in 15 cases, normal ovarian sample in 15 cases. All specimens were confirmed by experienced pathologists confirmed.46 cases of ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma specimens, aged 32 to 71 years, median age 45 years; by the International League of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) 2000 staging system was enacted, clinical stage:ⅠPhase-Ⅱstage 17 cases,Ⅲphase-Ⅳof 29 cases, the degree of differentiation:well differentiated in 11 cases,10 cases of differentiated, poorly differentiated 25 cases.15 cases of borderline ovarian serous papillary cystadenoma samples, clinical stage:ⅠPhase-Ⅱand 10 cases,Ⅲof 5 cases,3 cases with peritoneal seeding, no peritoneal positive in 12 cases.2. MethodsThe protein expression of HIF-1a and COX-2 were evaluated by SP immunohistochemistry, to detect the expression of HIF-1a and COX-2 in the ovarian carcinoma.3. Statistical analysis Results of application of SPSS12.0 software, and using X2 test, Spearman rank correlation analysis method for analysis. Test level was set at P<0.05Result1.Ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma of HIF-la expression is higher than borderline ovarian serous papillary cystadenoma, ovarian serous cystadenoma and normal ovarian sample, The results were significantly different (P<0.05)2.Ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma of COX-2 expression is higher than borderline ovarian serous papillary cystadenoma, ovarian serous cystadenoma and normal ovarian sample, The results were significantly different (P<0.05)3.HIF-la and COX-2 and ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma of the relationship between clinicopathological parameters.HIF-la and ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma of the clinical stage, histological grade was significantly correlated (P<0.05). With the pathological grade, clinical stage increase in the expression of HIF-la was significantly higher. Has nothing to do with the patient's age (P>0.05).COX-2 and ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma of the clinical stage was significantly correlated (P<0.05), and the patient's age, pathological grading (P>0.05).4. HIF-la, COX-2 and ovarian serous papillary cystadenoma of borderline clinical pathologic parametersHIF-la, COX-2 protein in ovarian borderline serous papillary cystadenoma of the clinical stage was significantly correlated (P<0.05). Nothing to do with the patient's peritoneal seeding (P>0.05).5.The correlation between expression of HIF-1a and COX-2 in ovarian cancers.In ovarian cancers HIF-la and COX-2 expression exists a linear correlation (r=0.305, P<0.05)Conclusions1.Ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma of HIF-1a and COX-2 expression is higher than borderline ovarian serous papillary cystadenoma, ovarian serous cystadenoma and normal ovarian sample, The results were significantly different.2.The expression level of COX-2 with ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma of the clinical stage of the rise is increased, HIF-1a and ovarian serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma of the clinical stage, histological grade was significantly correlated, indicating the expression level of both over-elevated incidence of tumor development-related.3. HIF-1a, COX-2 and ovarian serous papillary cystadenoma of borderline clinical stage were significantly related to patients with peritoneal nothing to do with.4.In ovarian cancers HIF-1a and COX-2 expression exists a linear correlation.
