Motivation is an important function in modern management, which is also the central content in human resources management. With the era of knowledge-based economy, human capital plays an increasingly important role. All walks of life are researching how to better motivate staff to play a greater role in achieving the objectives of the organization. With the development of health care industry and incentives using in the field of health care, more and more people concern about the application of motivate in the health care industry, nursing staff is an indispensable part of nursing team, the nursing staff'motivate has become concerned about the issue in hospital managers, so it is very important to study the incentives of nursing staff in state-owned hospital.First of all, this paper introduces the theory of motivation of nursing staff, which lays down the theoretical foundation for the paper; Secondly, according to the practical situation of nursing staff, the paper designs questionnaires. The author investigated the needs and job satisfaction of the nursing staff in several state-owned hospitals in Hebei Province with the methods of on-site investigation and interview; Thirdly, the paper introduces and concludes the results of the survey, points out that the main problems are in the performance appraisal, pay structure, training, career development planning, hospitals and cultural way of encouraging, tries to find a breakthrough to resolve the problems; Finally, according to the existing problems in the motivation for nursing staff, the paper build the motivation model of nursing staff, puts forwards the incentive measures for the nursing staff in the state-owned hospitals, such as improving the performance appraisal mechanism, developing a reasonable pay, perfecting the training system, improving career planning, establishing harmonious hospital culture, adopting diversified motivation mode.This paper has merely preliminary presented some personal views, with the increasingly importance of nursing staff in the ranks of the medical status, the correlative researches will be definitely deepened and theories will be enriched day by day.
