Objective The concentration of CCL20 was investigated in the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) through the change of CCL20 in the induced sputum of patients with COPD.Methods CCL20 was analyzed with ELISA in the sputum collected from COPD Groups,Cigarette Smoke Groups and Control Groups. The correlation between CCL20 and FEV1%was analyzed in all subjects. Results CCL20 in the GOLDⅠ~Ⅳ(Ⅰ,1605.0±199.5;Ⅱ,1849.7±172.5;Ⅲ~Ⅳ,2357.4±340.1) of COPD Groups showed the upregulation, compared with CCL20 in Cigarette Smoke Groups(726.8±79.9) and Control Groups(662.0±85.0).There was negative correlation between CCL20 and FEV1%(r=-0.811,P<0.01).Conclusion.The significant Upregulation of CCL20 in the patients with COPD and the negative correlation between CCL20 and FEV1%showed that CCL20 was contributed to the inflammatory reaction of COPD and would be expected to determine the severity of COPD.
