The Clinical Research Of Electric Acupuncture Combined Ear Acupoint Treating Overweight

Overweight is brought from the accumulation of surplus fat in the body, as a result of that the intake exceeds the consumption of energy. It had summarized clinical and empirical study about acupuncture treating obesity, but it had little research in acupuncture treating overweight. This thesis includes two parts as follows.Literature research: This part had reviewed the etiology and pathology of obesity and overweight of traditional Chinese medicine, combined modern Epidemiology data and the literature research of modern medicine, proposed the advantages and disadvantages of the methods reducing weight, point out acupuncture has distinctive superiority.Clinical research: Objective: Observing that the electric needle combined ear point treating overweight in the clinical effect about decreasing weight and fat. Method and contents: Select 39 female overweight (actually measure less than 20% of 10% the weight exceeds a standard weight), and the control group is 35 normal body weight women, carried on dialectical to cure and adopted electric needle and ear acupoint, observe the change of body weight, sebum thickness of upper arm ,humeral callus, abdomen, statistical analysis the numerical data .Result: After 3 course of treatment, the body weight, BMI and fat grade had reduced after the treatment, and it had significant deviation in statistics (p<0.01); The body sebum thickness of upper arm ,humeral callus, abdomen, and body fat percentage had reduced after the treatment, and it had significant deviation in statistics(p<0.01);The circumference of chest, buttock, waist, thigh had reduced after the treatment, and it had significant deviation in statistics(p<0.01).Compare with control group, the difference of body weight, body fat and body girth is not statistically significant. This method had conspicuous curative effect decrease weight, decrease fat and modify body type. And the effect would be more obviously if it spend more time.Conclusion: Overweight is early days of obesity, at this time we pay more attention, obesity rate and relative disease will depress significantly. Acupuncture therapy is effectively interfere in body weight. Meanwhile, overweight should eat balanced and reasonable, sufficient quantum physical exercise, keep good feelings and life attitude, set up healthy and scientific life style.
