Objective: To observe the clinical effects of acupuncture with EX-B2 on spasm of lowerlimbs by stroke.Method: In total of 39 patients of stroke were selected, and then were randomly divided intotwo groups. Treatment group was given acupuncture with EX-B2, while the control groupwas treated by traditional acupuncture only. Patients of the two groups were both given thesupport conventional symptomatic treatment of neurology. Both before and after the courseof treatment, Ashworth Scale, CSS, FMA, ADL score (Barthel score) and clinicalneurological deficit scores of the assessment were carried out. Comparing and analysis theresults of the two groups after treatments.Results: After treatments, scores improved. The two groups after treatment to observe theindicators compared with the pre-treatment with statistical significance (P <0.05).Amongthem, about the myotonia,50%of the patients improved at least two levels in treatmentgroups,and 42.86% in matched group. And compared between the two groups, difference isnot significant (P<0.01).Conclusion: Acupuncture with EX-B2 and traditional acupuncture both can inhibitgastronomies spasm, and then speed up the restore function in patients with walking,catching the high quality of life of patients. Acupuncture on EX-B2 for the treatment oflowerlimb's hypermyotonia after stroke is active,safe and convenient,it's worth to beextended.
