Objective:To observe the effect of scalp acupuncture therapy combined with synchronous MOTOmed training on lower limb function of hemiplegic patients after stroke. Methods:Sixty patients with cerebral apoplexy admitted to Department of Rehabilitation,Affiliated hospital of Zunyi Medical University from January 2016 to January2017 were divided into experimental group and control group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. In the experimental group, the Dingnieqianxiexian(anterior oblique line of vertex-temporal),the Dingniehouxiexian(posterioroblique line of vertex-temporal),the Dingpangyixian(lateral line 1 of vertex)and Zhenxiapangxian(lower-lateral line of occiput)on the affected side were selected as the stimulation areas.Additionally, the MOTOmed training was applied during scalp acupuncture treatment. In the control group, the scalp stimulation areas were same as the experimental group. But the MOTOmed training was applied separately. The scalp acupuncture was done in the morning and the MOTOmed training was applied in the afternoon. The efficacy was evaluated by National Institute of Health stroke scale(NIHSS),Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA),Berg Balance Scale(BBS)and modified Barthel index(MBI)before and in eight weeks of treatment, respectively. Results:The NIHSS scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the NIHSS scores of experimental group after treatment were lower than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The FMA,BBS and MBI scores of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the FMA,BBS and MBI scores of experimental group after treatment were higher than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:For the hemiplegic patients after stroke, the model of scalp acupuncture therapy combined with synchronous MOTOmed training achieves the superior improvements of the lower limb motor function, balance function and the activity of daily life as compared with non-synchronous model.
