Effect Of Acupuncture At Sheng' Yan Si Xue On The Recovery Of Vocal Cords In The Patients With Vocal Polyp After Surgery

Objective Observing the effects of acupuncture at Yan Si Xue in voice recovering for the patients after surgery.Methods According to the assay standand, 60 cases of patients with vocal polyp postoperatively were randomly divided into 2 groups, 30 cases of abserving group and 30 cases of the control group, who were all treated by conventional therapy including Cefuroxime Sodium,Gentamicin and Dexamethasone. The abserving group was additionally treated by acupuncture at Sheng' s Yan Si Xue once a day for 3 days .Finally,their symptoms and signs of vocal cord were gathered at the day before and the forth day after surgery. At the same time, the acoustic parameters of the first and forth day postoeratively were recorded and compared by the Dr. Speech.Results It has significant difference of the scores of symptoms and signs of vocal cords between the two groups.It has significant difference of the acoustic parameters (such as Jitter,Shimmer,NNE) between the two groups. It has significant difference of clinical effects between the two groups. observing group were effectively better than those of the control group.Conclusion Acupuncture at Sheng' s Yan Si Xue at the basic of antibiotic and hormone after surgery is significantly effctive with the recovery of vocal cords than the pure therapy of antibiotic and hormone.
