Objective: To investigate restoration of benign vocal fold lesions afterphonomicrosurgery.Methods:32patients with Vocal fold polyp and20patients with vocal fold cyst wereundergone acoustic analysis and laryngostroboscopy(LSS)before and aftermicrolaryngoscopic surgery. Acoustic analysis were made by Divas voice analysissoftware. Fundamental frequency(F0),sound pressure level (SPL), fundamentalfrequency perturbation(Jitter), Amplitude perturbation(Shimmer) were selected as fourparameters, evaluating the parameters to decide the voice quality.Laryngostroboscopywas used to record the closure and mucosal wave of vocal cord morphologically.20normal subjects were analyzed as the controls.Results:1week, two weeks,1month after the surgery, strobolaryngoscopeexamination showed that all patients’vocal cords moved, opened and closed fine, themucous membrane were smooth. Shimmer and jitter were different significantlybetween preoperation and2weeks,1month postoperatively (P<0.05).Jitter and shimmerbefore surgery are abnormal and have significant difference from normal control group(p<0.01).The difference among1week,two weeks,1month postoperatively and thecontrol group was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:There is a significant difference in voice acoustic parameters betweenpatients with vocal fold polyp, vocal fold cyst and people with normal voice, and thesituation of recovery after microsurgery was different.Jitter, shimmer values can beused as sensitive indicators for surgery prognosis of vocal fold polyp and vocal fold cyst.Voice acoustic analysis can dynamically test the efficiency of surgery and observe the improvement of voice quality in patients with vocal fold polyp and vocal fold cyst.Strobolaryngoscopy provide an excellent morphological evidence, two methods can doa comprehensive assessment for the vocal fold polyp and vocal fold cyst.
