Objective: To investigate the effects of astragalus injection in Zusanli point on the T lymphocyte subunit groups and the lung function in COPD of Lung Qi Deficiency and compare with the way by venous. Methods: Thirty COPD of Lung Qi Deficiency patients were randomly divided into two groups, ie. a control group given the astragalus injection by venous qd for 6 days, a treatment group given the astragalus injection in Zusanli point qod for 6 days. The T lymphocyte subunit groups percent (CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+) and the lung function(FEV1pred% & FEV1/FVC%)were measured before and after 6 days. Results: In the T lymphocyte subunit groups aspect, the percent of CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ grew up and that of CD3+,CD8+fell down after treatment in the two groups. There was no significant deviance between the two groups before and after treatment. When compared with the situation before the treatment, the treatment group had a significant deviance in CD4+/CD8+ (P<0.05) and a very significant deviance in CD8+( P<0.01)after treatment, and the control group had very significant deviance in the two indicators(P<0.01) .In the lung function aspect, the percent of FEV1pred and FEV1/FVC grew up after treatment in the two groups. There was no significant deviance between the two groups before and after treatment. When compared with the situation before the treatment, the treatment group had a significant deviance in FEV1/FVC% (P<0.05) after treatment and the control group had very significant deviance in FEV1/FVC (P<0.01).Conclusion: On the disorder of T lymphocyte subunit groups and the decline of lung function in COPD of Lung Qi Deficiency, astragalus injection either by Zusanli point or by the way of venous could have certain improvement and there was no significant deviance between the two ways. As a result, fewer doses by Zusanli point instead of bigger doses by venous could be taken into consideration in clinical work. |
