Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effects of BiMin Tab on experimental allergic rhinitis in rats and the intervenient effects of substance P and NGF.Methods: 60 white big rats were randomly divided into six groups: Normal group, model group, treating group 1, treating group 2 and control group. The rest of 10 rats were applied to PCA test. We replicate rat model of allergic rhinitis induced by perfusion of ovalbumin for 21 days. After observing the syndrome of the rats, we use nasal mucosa to doing immunohistochemistry analysis.Results: Compared with the normal group, the model group's PCA test showed that IgE increase. The difference of the nasal induced syndrome between the normal group and the model group is significant (P<0.05). Finally, the results is: 1 the increase of the substance P and NGF is significant in Model group , but not in normal group. 2 BiMin Tab isuseful in decreasing the component of the substance P and NGF. 3 BiMinTab can relief the syndrome of the rats and decrease the number of theEOS cells in the rat's nasal mucosa. 4 Substance P and NGF correlation issignificant at the 0.01 level.Conclusion: The result shows that substance P and NGF are importantfactors , and it play an important role in the development of allergicrhinitis . BiMin Tab is effective in the treatment of allergic rhinitic byregulating expression and release of substance P and NGF.
