Research On The Treatment Of Chronic Functional Constipation (Stagnation Of Qi And Damp-heat Type) By Hou Zhi San Reng Tang

PURPOSEThe purpose of this study is to observes the efficacy from the clinical aspect of HOD ZHI SAN RENG TANG treatment of chronic functional constipation(stagnation of Qi and damp-heat type),and explore the mechanism of treating chronic FC witn HOU ZHI SAN RENG TANG from a theoretical and clinical aspects.We hope to explore more effective ways to combat the CFC.METHODS1.80 cases of patients in our hospital from August 2007 to February 2009 for treatment of digestive medicine outpatient cases were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Each group were 40 people.Treatment group is composed 30 to 62 year-old patients,The average age is 42 years.Control gr-oup is composed 33 to 65 year-old patients,The average age is 43 years.Two groups of patients with gender,age,course and severity of disease,the main symptom of Chinese medicine,colonoscopy comparative situation was no significant difference,and have comparable(P＞0.05).2.Treatment group is given HOU ZHI SAN RENG TANG,Mosapride Citrate Dispersible tablets(trade name of Xinluola)and Live Combined Bifidobacterium,Lactobacillus and Streptococcus Thermophilus tablets(tradename of Jinshuangqi).HOU ZHI SAN RENG TANG mentor experience for side(Including Houpo 10g,Zhishi 10g,Baizhu 20g,Xingreng 15g,Yiyiren 18g,Baikouren 6g,Pugongying15g,Gancao 6g),these Herbal medicine is cooked with water.And we take it daily one,each one half an hour after breakfast and dinner time.Per 200ml;Xinluola,3 timesa day,each 5mg,taken before eating;Jinshuangqi,3 times a day,each 4 tablets after meal.The patients of Control group take orally Xinluola and Jinshuangqi,and oral administration method with on.Two groups are observed respectively safety(general physical examination items; blood,urine,fecal routine examination;liver and kidney function;electrocardiogram;possible adverse reactions)and efficacy(signs and symptoms,points of before and after treatment clinical changes).3.Statistical analysis methods:data is analysed with SPSS13.0 statistical software.Level of information with Ridit test,X~2test with count data,measurement data using t test.RESULTS1.Two groups show no significant difference about the total symptom score before treatment(P＞0.05),and have comparable;the TCM total score after treatment of two groups have significantly different with the TCM total score before treatment(P＜0.05),and treatment group on improvement in TCM total score have more than the control group(P＜0.05).2.Treatment group 40 cases,6 cases of recovery,effective 22 cases,6 cases of effective and ineffective in 6 cases,the total effective rate 85.00%.Control group 40 cases,2 cases of recovery,effective 15 cases,7cases of effective andineffective 16cases,the total effective rate 60.00%.Treatment group,clinical cure rate,markedly effective,efficient,the total effective rate were higher than(P＜0.05).3.The symptoms of trearment group can be more obviously improved then the control group,such as dry stool,defecation interval length,a long time defecation,abdominal pain,swelling of the chest and rib,depression and so on.The improvement of Symptoms of trearment group have the same with the control group,such as difficult defecation,abdominal distension and belching.4.HOU ZHI SAN RENG TANG which is treated to functional constipation have significantly improved clinical symptoms,no significant side effects,does not produce drug dependence,the advantages of an affordable price.CONCLUSIONThis study prompted that treatment of functional constipation (stagnation of Qi and damp-heat type)with traditional Chinese and western medicine has a good clinical efficacy,its effect is better than Western medicine group.From theoretical studies of modern pharmacology,HOU ZHI SAN RENG TANG may have bidirectional regulation of intestinal motor function,and promote the secretion of gastrointestinal function,softening fecal quality,and promote from faeces and other functions,combined with Western medicine,it can enhance the effect.Note HOU ZHI SAN RENG TANG to meet the clinical reality,in the treatment of functional constipation (stagnation of Qi and damp-heat type) does have a certain effect, it is worth further research and extension.
