Part I: Intra-articular injection of medical ozone treatment of rabbit knee osteoarthritis: magnetic resonance and electron microscope observationObjectives: Through the establishment of rabbit model of knee osteoarthritis, the comparison of intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate or ozone therapeutic effect had been developed, for the aim to explore the availability of medical ozone therapy in osteoarthritis of the knee capacity. Methods: Eighteen NEW-Zealand rabbit models of knee osteoarthritis were established by injecting Papain into intra-articular cavity of right knees Then magnetic resonance inspection. of each case was performed...The cases were randomly divided into 3 groups ( each n=6): the O3 group, the sodium hyaluronate(SH) group and the control group. At the same time taking out two experiment rabbits in every group randomly as contrasting group 10ml O3~O2 (concentration 35ug/ml)was injected into intra-articular cavity of right knees of O3 group; SH group were injected 1mlSH( concentration 1%) into intra-articular cavity of right knees once a week; while control group was given no special handing. After five weeks, the magnetic resonance inspection of all cases were analyzed again Then all cases were executed and the articular cartilage of the femoral condyle spot of knee joint were taken to make pathological section, Changing of articular cartilage, was observed by light microscope and transmission electron microscope Then each case wascompared by Mankin's index .Results:⑴The rabbit knee joint osseous arthritis animal model were successfully duplicated.⑵the magnetic resonance inspection and the pathology inspection demonstrate that intra-articular injection of whichever the ozone or the sodium hyaluric could delay the development of arthritis, the therapeutic effect of two methods has no-statistics significanceConclusion: The medical ozone could reduce the inflammation, delay the degeneration of cartilage , improve the joint activity function, and have the treatment function to the osseous arthritis.Part II: CT-guided injection of medical ozone in the knee joint as a therapy of knee-joint pain induced by common disease: the Clinical ObservationObjective: To observe the clinical curative effect for knee-joint pain induced by common disease va medical ozone (O3) treatment. Methods: 53 cases of knee osteoarthritis and 17 cases of immunologic disease incorporating knee joint sign, were percutaneously intra-articular injected of medical ozone guided by CT. Before and one month after the treatment, the appraisal was made separately. Results: With visual analog score (VAS) the results of before and one month after the treatment showed significant differences. The knee joint function evaluation rate reached 90%. The effectiveness of ozone therapy was high. Conclusion: Knee-joint pain induced by common disease could be relieved by medical ozone therapy effectively, the joint activity could be improve. The curative effect is satisfied, and operation is easy, the cost low, taking effect quick. No obvious side effects were observed in our group. Intra-articular injection of medical ozone is a good method for knee-joint pain induced by common disease...
