Research Of Relationship Between Endothelial Function And TCM Syndrome In Chronic Stable Angina

Objectives:To analyze different TCM patterns of chronic stable angina patients' endothelial function,which contains plasma NO(Nitrogen monoxidum), ET(Endothelin),vWF(vonWillebrand factor),TM(thrombomodulin),FMD(Flowmediated dilatation)and NMD(Nitroglycerin-mediated dilation).Methods:90 chronic stable angina patients in Guangdong province hospital of TCM from 2007.8 to 2009.1 were included.They were grouped to Heart Blood Stasis, Phlegm Retention and Qi Stagnancy(30 patients for each).20 healthy people served as controls.The FMD and NMD were measured by echocardiography.The plasma ET-1,vWF and TM were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The plasma NO was measured by nitrate reductase assay.All the data were used to analyze the relationship between TCM patterns and endothelial function.Results:Compared to controls,Heart Blood Stasis,Phlegm Retention and Qi Stagnancy had the lower FMD and NO(P＜0.05),and Heart Blood Stasis was the lowest. Compared to controls,Phlegm Retention and Qi Stagnancy,Heart Blood Stasis had the lower NMD(P＜0.05).Compared to controls and Qi Stagnancy,Heart Blood Stasis and Phlegm Retention had the higher ET(P＜0.05),and Heart Blood Stasis was the highest.Compared to the other three groups,Heart Blood Stasis had the highest vWF(P＜0.05).Compared to controls,the other three groups had the higher TM(P＜0.05).The happen of Heart Blood Stasis was selected as dependent variable in the Bivariant Logistic regression.The results showed that FMD was the protective factor(OR_FMD=0.159),and Age was the risk factor(OR_AGE=1.325). The FMD was selected as dependent variable in the Stepwise Linear regression. The results showed that NO was the protective factor(OR_NO=0.261),and ET,TM, vWF and Age were the risk factors(OR_ET=-0.447,OR_TM=-0.241,OR_vWF=-0.176 and OR_AGE=-0.13).FMD was positively correlated with NMD and N0(P＜0.01),and negatively correlated with ET,vWF and TM(P＜0.01).Oonclusion:The patients had different endothelial function in different TCM patterns. Heart Blood Stasis was the worst.Phlegm Retention and Qi Stagnancy were second. FMD could prevent from chronic stable angina in Heart Blood Stasis syndrome, but Age was its risk factor.FMD was positively correlated with NMD and NO, and negatively correlated with ET,vWF and TM.
