Objective:On the basis of the clinical efficiency of treating CFS by acupuncture, combining with the pathogenesis of CFS,TCM and western medicine theory, reading a great quantity research of antiquity and modern literature, according to random control principle, and then choose the modern examination to carry out the acupuncture experimental research. We discussed the mechanism of acupuncture' s effect of CFS,through evaluating the immune function of CFS rats.Materials and methods:We chosc 40 male SD rats(clean animals,190~220g),which were divided randomly into the control group, model group, acupuncture group and ginsenosides group, according to primal weight, with 10 rats in the each group. It was through a combined stress factors with chronic constraint, swimming in the cold water and to obtain the CFS model. The control group and model group was not given any methods.Acupuncture group was acupunctured in bilateral Baihui,Shenshu,Zuasanli alternatively;ginsenosides group was given intragastric administration with ginsenosides fluid(70mg/Kg/d) One month later, observing the behavior changes of the rats;and examining the content of NK,IFN-γ,spleen and thymus index. All data were analyzed by SPSS13.0.Results:1.At the beginning of experiment, here were no significant differences between the groups.Later, compared with the control group, the model rats appeared physical strength declining, the slowly increased weight(P<0.01), The data of the acupuncture and ginsenosides group were statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The spleen and thymus index of model rats declined remarkably comparing with the control group(P<0.01).The data of the acupuncture and ginsenosides group reinforced remarkably comparing with the control group(P<0.05).3.The content of NK and IFN-γin peripheral blood of model rats declined remarkably comparing with the control group(P<0.05).The data of the acupuncture and ginsenosides group reinforced remarkably comparing with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Acupuncture could markedly reverse the physical fatigue and the mental fatigue of the model rats, improve the fatigue states of the animals through psychosomatic regulation, and have the function of antifatigue and antistress.2.The mechanism of acupuncture' s effect of CFS was probably related to reinforced and regulated of immune function with CFS rats.
