ObjectiveTo study the changes before and after the therapy of Wenjingtongluo Xunxifang to diabetes mellitus peripheral neuopathy disease (DPN) patients, which includes the fasting blood glucose (FBG) and 2h postprandial blood glucose (2hPBG), the glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAiC), the red blood cell aldose reductases (RBC-AR), the red blood cell Na-K-ATPase activeness, the motor nerve conduction velocity of common peroneal nerve (MNCV), the sensory nerve conduction velocity of superficial peroneal nerve and sural nerve (SNCV),as well as the clinical symptoms improvement situation. Compared with the Wenjingtongluo Xunxifang group , the contrast group takes 500ug Mecobalamin three times a day orally. Observes the clinical curative effects of Wenjingtongluo Xunxifang, and discusses its mechanisms of action on DPN patients , seeking for the objective basis for the external treatment of TCM to treat DPN patients, and instructing the clinical care as well.MethodsThis research altogether collects 80 cases which conforms to the diagnosis standard of diabetes peripheral nerve pathological change patient, divided into the treatment group and the control group stochastically. The two groups maintains the original diet control, the oral antidiabetic drug (OHA), the insulin usage-and .the amount used. The treatment group are given Wenjingtongluo Xunxifang to wash feet twice a day, as well as diabetes foundation treatment. The control group takes Mecobalamin 500ug , daily 3times , while diabetes foundation treatment is given too. To both groups, one month will be one treatment course. The observation target includes: the fasting blood glucose (FBG) and 2h postprandial blood glucose (2hPBG) around treatment, the glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C) around treatment, the red blood cell aldose reductases (RBC-AR) around treatment, the red blood cell Na-K-ATPase activeness around treatment, the motor nerve conduction velocity of common peroneal nerve (MNCV) around treatment, the sensory nerve conduction velocity of superficial peroneal nerve and sural nerve (SNCV) around treatment, as well as the clinical symptoms improvement situation .ResultsThe treatment group total effectiveness is 92.5%, while the control group is 75. 0%. Compared with the control group , it has the significance difference (P<0. 05). The clinical symptoms around the treatment , compared with the control group, has the significance difference (P<0. 05). After the treatment group treats, the RBC-AR obviously drop, and the Na-K-ATPase obviously rise, that has the significance difference with the control group. The lever of blood sugar after treatment drops, but there is no remarkable difference compared with the control group (P>0. 05). The HbAlc in two groups around the treatment has no remarkable difference(P>0. 05).ConclusionAfter the Wenjingtongluo Xunxifang treatment, patients' RBC-AR activeness obviously drop, but the red blood cell Na-K-ATPase activeness obviously rise. This has confirmed that Wenjingtongluo Xunxifang is able to improve microcycle and affect the polyols circuit, as well as improve diabetes peripheral nerve pathological change's metabolic disorder effectively. This research has confirmed that Wenjingtongluo Xunxifang has a remarkable curative effect to the DPN. It can effectively improve diabetic clinical symptoms, and raise the nerve conduction speed, so that it is worth the clinical promoted application.
