| Objective: To investigate the effect of drynaria fortuei J.SM to the expression of the bone morphogenetic protein—2(BMP-2) in the bone tissue and serum osteocalcin of female ovx rats, which were cut the uterus and given the dosage of 15 weeks.Methods: With the help of relative reference, this experiment chose thirty female rats of 3 monthes which were cut uterus and the fat around the uterus in groups to give the dosage of 15 weeks. Then, kill the rat and get the lateralthigh's bone tissue. Make it decalcification, dehydration and section, then stain it by BMP-2 immunohistochemistry. Observe it by the microscope and analysis by the soft of image on the computer to get the masc rate. Get the rat serum and determine the osteocalcin by radio-immunity.Results: after immunohistochemistry stain, the analysis of picture shows the bmp-2 masculine rate of experiment group and sham-operation group are obviously higher than that of contrast group p<0.05 and the expression of osteocalcin in experiment group and sham-operation group is obviously higher than contrast group p<0.05.Conclusion: the expression of the osteocalcin is normal in the normal rat, it shows that the cell proliferation and activation of the osteoblast is normal.There a high level of osteocalcin in the serum of ovx rat after 15week by feeding the drynaria fortunei, it shows that the drynaria fortunei can promote the antecedent osteoblast to maturity and hyperplasy.The contrast group's low serum osteocalcin to explain the osteoblast's activity is inhibited after the missing of estrogenic hormone .BMP-2 have the effection of recruit and induce the marrow stroma cell to become the osteoblast. Its expression in the experiment group is higher than that of the contrat group shows that the drynaria fortunei have the promotion to form and secret the BMP-2, that lead to the mature of the osteoblast.
