Drynaria fortunei(Kunze)J.Sm is a plant of the family Drynaria,which rhizome is the main source of the Chinese traditional medicine GuSuiBu.It is distributed in Zhejiang,Fujian and other provinces in China.Its effective parts are the total hydroxyflavanone of Drynaria fortunei(Kunze)J. Sm,especially the Naringin.It has been used for the treatment of many ailments including osteoporosis and fracture.By using ovariectomized mice osteoporotic model in vivo and promoting the osteoblastic-like cells proliferation in vitro,the potentially anti-osteoprotic fractions were recognized.Fifteen compounds were obtained and their structures were identified on the basis of analysis of IR,UV, NMR,ESI-MS,GC-MS data and physico-chemical constants as following: 5-ethoxy-2-hydroxy-benzoate(1),eriodictyol(2),kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside(3), kaempferol-7-O-α-L-arabinofuranoside(4),3-acetamino-4-hydroxy-benzoic acid(5), protocatechuic acid(6),prunin(7),astragalin(8),naringin(9),5,7-dihydroxychromone-7-neohesperidoside(10), Kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnoside-7-O-β-D-glucoside (11),aureusidin-6-O-neohesperidoside(12),5,7,3',4'-tetrahydroxyflavanone-7-O-neohesperidoside (13),(E)-4-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl caffeic acid(14),β-sitosterol(15).Fifteen compounds were getten from Drynaria,and the compounds(1~8,10~14)were obtained from Drynaria for the first time,10 flavonoid compounds were gotten.
