Diabetic peripheral neuropathy is one of the common chronic complications of diabetes , due to a high incidence and some difficulties in treatment, domestic and foreign scholars are becoming more and more emphasis on it . The pathogenesis of more factors, combined, that is, for high blood sugar before moving factors, genetic factors, metabolism, micro-circulation anomalies, and many other factors affect each other, very complicated. The multi-target, multi-channel overall treatment of Chinese medicine is a combination of strengths. The use of Chinese herbal compound GuiLong-Pellet in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, and compare with vitamin B12 and western medicine, observing the change of the patient's clinical symptoms and signs, recording the before and after treatment peroneal nerve motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV), Lipids, blood rheology, ET, NO, CRP changes, evaluating its mechanism. Aimed at concluding clinical experience, for more effective clinical treatment of this disease and to provide ideas based on.Objective:To evaluate Chinese herbal compound GuiLong-Pellet in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy effect and research on its mechanism.Method: Take the 60 patients who are to the standards into treatment group and control group at a random, two groups have been strictly controlled diet and do exercise therapy, given insulin to control blood sugar. The treatment group was given GuiLong-Pellet , two times a day; control group was given oral mecobalamin 500 mcg, three times a day. A total of 12 weeks for treatment. To observe and record the clinical symptoms and signs of each patient before and after the treatment , including the physical pain, feeling abnormal, feeling decreased, decreased muscle strength, tendon reflexes, the pain of up and lower limb, and at the same time monitoring of blood glucose, blood cholesterol and triglyceride, High-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), hemorheology, serum NO, ET, CRP level, and the peroneal nerve motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) before and after treatment. Taking the data to statistical analysis.Results:1. The clinical symptoms of patients in treatment group can be significantly improved . In the 30 patients , 15 cases were markedly effective, 13 cases were effective . The total efficiency of treatment is 93.3 percent, is better than the control group (56. 7%) (P<0.01) 2. Compared with no treatment, the Motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) in treatment group were significantly faster growing, were better than the control group (P<0.05). 3. Compared with the control group, the treatment group were hypolipidemic and improved blood flow (P<0.05); can effectively reduce plasma endothelin content, increase nitric oxide levels (P<0.05); to blood sugar and C Reactive protein had no effect (P>0.05).Conclusion:The Chinese herbal compound GuiLong-Pellet could significantly improve clinical symptoms, improve peroneal nerve motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) of the diabetic patients with the peripheral neuropathy. The mechanism may have something to do with the hypolipidemic , improving blood flow change science and improving Endothelial function.
