Clinical Study Of Decoction Of Qing Bi Three-Seeds In Treating Chronic Simple Rhinitis Of The Type Of Humid Heat

Backgrounds:Chronic simple rhinitis(CSR)is one of the common diseases of Hals,Nasen and Ohrenheilkunde,which appears snuffle and snot frequently.CSR prevails in Taiwan recently.Its complications affects body,work and study severely.So CSR needed to prevent and cure as one desease stressly.Purposes:The study was to evaluate the clinical curative effect of treating CSR of type of humid heat with Decoction of Qing Bi Three-Seeds(DQBTS). It was to find out the new viewpoint of treating CSR,which was the study base.Then,to enlarge the targets of the study,such as chronic hypertrophic rhinitis,chronic rhino-naso sinusitis and chronic sinusitis etc.Patients of all kinds of CSR have more better formula,who dwelled in Taiwan of subtropical zone and island climate.Methods:Forty-six Patients were to accord with model of humid heat of CSR, who were from the union clinic of Ren Ji Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) between Nov.2006 and Mar.2008.Adopting the approach of anteroposterior own control,to formulate symptoms and a mark of signs observing with rhinoscope.Those treatments went on for 3 weeks.To fill the results in the mark through telephone to the patients.And to compute the rate of anteroposterior accumulated points of patients after 3 weeks. Chief and secondary symptoms,signs were all observed before and after the treatment with DQBTS.Results:The total effective rate was 91.30%.There were 30.43%in excellence, 60.87%in effect and 8.70%in ineffective.The accumulated points of 27 cases were more than 60%.The total rate was 64.29%.DQBTS comported with snuffle,snot and flavor-white tongue fur of CSR mostly.Before treatment, there were 8 cases of snuffle in severity,29 cases in midrange.After treatment with DQBTS,there were no cases of snuffle in severity,only 2 cases in midrange.Before treatment,there were 6 cases of flavor-white tongue fur in severity,36 cases in midrange.After treatment with DQBTS, there were 1 cases of flavor-white tongue fur in severity,7 cases in midrange.Secondly,DQBTS can improved headache and jammed nasal sound of CSR.Fortunately,there were no visible side effects during the whole treatment.Conclusions:On the basis of TCM differentiation of symptoms and signs theorys, our findings proved that DQBTS was one efficient formula to CSR of type of humid heat.DQBTS deserved to develop to condense Chinese material medica scientifically.So it was convenient to use for doctors and patients of CSR.
