| Primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) is important psychosomatic disorder of ophthalmology. PACG has peculiarity of large individual different and psychology impact distinctively. Its main therapeutics is operation. Shallow anterior chamber is the commonest and the most troublesome early postoperative complication of operation of glaucoma. Anterior chamber recovery effect the structure and function of operation eye. At the same time, it is one of the main factors of eyesight declining. Because of having particular personality character, glaucoma patient's sufferance ability decreases and post-operation reaction aggravates. Mental state of patients change when post-operation shallow anterior chamber occurs. The change of Patients mental state can effect disease recovery. So it is imminent resolution question for post-operation shallow anterior chamber patients to consider character and mental state of patients and select appreciate psychological nursing and make patients favorable mental state and optimistic spirit and promote disease relieve. Till now, studies on the shallow anterior chamber patients after filtrating operation in PACG only include pathogenic reason, intervention, therapy ect. Investigations on character characteristic and mental state and psychological nursing of patients have not been reported.The purpose of present study is to analyse character and mental state on the shallow anterior chamber patients after filtrating operation in PACG and to deal with the psychology question during shallow anterior chamber recovery and to research psychological nursing methods on patients. 70 the shallow anterior chamber patients after filtrating operation in PACG from Nov.2006 to Aug.2007 on the glaucoma department of the second hospital of Jilin university were divided into two groups according to admission order(odd number patients was added to the treatment group, even number patients was added to control group). Routine nursing and therapy were performed in control group while treatment groups psychological nursing include supportive, music and sleep psychological nursing . Each groups investigate common condition and measure psychological index and examine nursing extent degree including measuring Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), Symptom Checklist90 (SCL-90) and State Anxiety Inventory(SAI) before intervention and dynamic measuring SAI, sleep quality and efficiency during intervention and assessing nursing extent degree after intervention.The results showed that(1)The EPQ investigate a hint: post-operation shallow anterior chamber patients are introvent, motion unsteady ,psychoticism and stronger dissimulation. The patients quality type is with the gall quality and depression quality much see. And male is more obvious of psychoticism, depression and introvent than female, female more male obvious of motion unsteady, monomania. (2) The SCL-90 investigate a hint: post-operation shallow anterior chamber patients have more abnormal mental state than often module acting on body turn, depression, anxiety, hostility, monomania. And male is more obvious of depression, anxiety, hostility than female, female is more obvious of monomania than male. Over 45 year is more obvious on body turn than below 45 year, below 45 year is more depression and anxiety than over 45 year. Brain is more obvious of body turn ,anxiety, depression and fear than laborer. (3)The psychological nursing depending on character characteristic and mental state of patients can ameliorate mental state, sleep quality and efficiency and improve nursing extent degree.On the whole, The psychological nursing depending on character characteristic and mental state whilst routine nursing and therapy of shallow anterior chamber patients after filtrating operation in PACG can effective alleviate depression and anxiety symptoms, relieve mental stress, stabilize emotion, ameliorate sleep quality and efficiency , improve nursing extent degree and stead disease convalesce.
