Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of acupotomology in treatment of Shoulder-back myofascitis. Method: The study is based on the diagnosis criterion which was instituted by the National TCM administration. We have selected suitable cases from the outpatient department of orthopedics in The TCM Affiliated Hospital of XINJIANG Medical University since January 2007 to September 2007. Divided them into two groups at random, there are 35 cases in acupotomology's group, 35 cases in control group. Treatment group were treated with acupotomology therapeutics, control group took Lvzuoshazong tablet. We quantified the shoulder-back myofascitis clinical symptoms and signs including aching, pressing-aching, muscle convulsion, shoulder joint function limited, and regarded these as index of curative effect evaluating, analyzed data by using statistical methods. Results: The therapeutic effects both satisfy, after one period of treatment, the curative effect of acupotomology group is better than the control group's significantly. The comparison of main symptom before with after treating indicates that acupotomology therapeutics had a higher curative ratio than the control therapeutic s (P<0.05).Conclusion: Acupotomology therapy function on the focus corretly, release and separate the wound part properly, it is the combination of"acupuncture"and"bistoury".The clinical observation manifest that: Acupotomology therapy is one of the more efficient treatments for shoulder-back myofascitis. acupotomology therapeutics was simple,safe and efficient for shoulder-back myofascitis.
