Background:The common backpain, with its major cause myofasicitis, is repeated in those who suffering in life and work. Severe backpain raises depression that could jeopardize life quality. Treatments for this problem are various but effect persistence is still the focus. Acupuncture and moxibustion are effective ways in myofasicitis. SNAG, for the safety, efficient and short cause, which is the most common physical therapy for myofasicitis. The aim of study is that combining the advantages from these two methods to help back myofasicitis patients recovery in less time. Objective:For presenting a significant effective combined method in Lumbar myofascitis, to abserve the treatment effect via Jin's three-needle with SNAG.Methods:Diagnostic criterias are conducted by soft tissue injury criteria of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2002, Three sydromes criterias of New Zealand physiotherapist union, and TP criterias from Travell and Simons. Accoding to these criterias,60 qualified patients, from acupuncture clinic of First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University and rehabilitation clinic of First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, are rolled in study,30 qualified Random patients in treatment(Jin's three-needle with SNAG) group and 30 in control group. Jin's three-needle with SNAG(Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glide) is applied in treatment group while common rehabilition with physical therapy in control group. Both groups were one treatment for every 2 days,4 times a cause, and two causes for each patient. All patient were scored via Greenough-frasher scale, which including Visual Analogue Scale(VAS), Activities of Daily Living(ADL) and Impairment Scale assessments inside, at the start and the end of one cause. Results analysis was dealed with while the statistic result had been done. Statistical Analyses:the result was analysed by SPSS17.0. The composition of patients and treatment effect of both groups are compared with t test. Accroding to the scores from Greenough-frasher scale, which were compared inter-groups and intra-groups before and after treatment. Results:For the patients in this study, all their criterias and causes of disease were presented as equal by t test, which indicated that the samples of treatment group and control group came from same population. Treatment effects were statistically significant in favor of Jin's three-needle with SNAG (P<0.05). On therapeutic effect, significant improvements in symptom and sign were achieved in two groups. And the total efficient:93.3%of treatment group was better than 76.1%of control group via t test (P<0.05). Greenough-frasher scores from two groups, patients'scores in treatment group presented significant change (P< 0.05) with 21.77±6.14 improvement after treatment, while there was no statistic change (P>0.05) in control group. These results indicate therapeutic effect in treatment group are obviously better than that in control group. Conclusion:This study indicate that Jin's three-needle joint with SNAG (Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glide) technique presents significant therapeutic effect in back myofascitis. For acute conditon, Jin's three-needle technique is able to relieve backpain that caused by wind, cold, dampness and stasis. For chronic conditon, it can expel harmful factors out of body by points compatibility that focus on Zangfu movement, kidney Qi and Yang tonification, lumbar reinforcement, which support self-repairment of bones and softtissues. And SNAG (Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glide) technique can promote mucus secretion in facet joints and improve blood supply in lumbar tissues, to accelerate the metabolism of myofascitis and restore lumbar functions. Otherwise, patients' symptoms were recurrent by bad living positions and movements. In order to maintain therapeutic effects, the precaution and health education should be pointed during and after treatment.
