Objective: To study on the feature on the bulbar conjunctival microvessel of blood stasis syndrome (BSS) and the relation of eye-signs and hemorrheology. Methods: According to diagnostic criteria of BSS established in Beijing conference and Guangzhou conference, patients were divided into BSS group and no-BSS group. Photograph of bulbar conjunctival of patients was shoot, and eighteen hemorrheolo- gical indexes were detected. Diagnosis score (including symptoms score and hemo- rrheological score) and eye-signs score of BSS in different groups were statistically processed.Results:(1)There was no significant difference in sex between two groups (P>0.05), BSS group was older than no-BSS group(P<0.01). (2)There were significant differences in diagnosis score of BSS and eye-signs score of BSS between the two groups (P<0.01). (3) The discrimination rate of BSS and its pathological grade with eye- sign intergral of BSS is 79 percent. (4)There were significant differences in the determination items of eye-signs of BSS between two groups, such as reticular malformation, twist, augmentation, hemangioma and remote hemorrhage of the bulbar conjunctival microvessel between two groups (P<0.05~0.01). However, fresh hemorrhage, baoshangdian and vessel hue were no significant differenece between two groups (P>0.05). (5)Diagnosis score of BSS and eye-signs score of BSS were associated with whole blood viscosity, blood sedimentation, fibrinogen, thrombus length and its dried weigh, and other hemorrheological indexes. (6)Reticular malformation, twist, augmentation and remote hemorrhage of the bulbar conjunctival microvessel related intensively to high whole blood viscosity. Conclusion: Eye-signs of BSS was sensible diagnostics means of diagnosing BSS, reticular malformation, twist, augmentation, hemangioma and remote hemorrhage of the bulbar conjunctival microvessel could be regard as diagnostic indexes and related intensively to Blood Hyperviscosity Syndrome(BHS).
