[Objective]: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between total microalbuminuria levels in people with primary hypertension and cognitive status. Aim to approach the potential risk factor of cognition damage in primary hypertension. The purpose is providing convenient evidence for clinical predictor of cognitve deterioration in primary hypertension.[Methods]: 200 hypertensive patients were enrolled. We collected the patients' general data and measured blood pressure (BP), height, body weight. All patients had fasting blood samples taken for measurement of total cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations, fasting plasma glucose(FPG), insulin and so on. Early morning urine(EMU) collection was used to measure creatinine clearance and microalbuminuria. Postprandial blood sugar(PPBS) and postprandial insulin were also measured. All patients were assessed for late complications and a Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) was performed. According to the dividing line of 24 scores, the cogniyion can be divided into two groups.>24-scores: normal cognition;≤24-scores: cognition damage. The last, we should determine microalbuminuria and other factors to analyze the results.[Results]:1. All of 200 hypertensive patients, 25 cases are positive albuminuria, others are negative albuminuria. on the basis of statistical results, P>0.05 no significance, So albuminuria not's a risk factor of cognition deterioration.2. All of 200 hypertensive patients, besides 25 cases of positive albuminuria, others negative albuminuria of patients will be measured microalbuminuria, The proportion: normal- microalbuminuria is 72.5%, abnormal- microalbuminuria is 18.5%, higher-abnormal-microalbuminuria is 8%.3. 175 hypertensive patients which have been measured microalbuminuria, whose cogniton results are: normal cognition accouts 82.3%, cogniton deterioration accouts 17.7%.4. To aim directly at 175 hypertensive patients which have been measured Microalbuminuria, univariant correlation analysis show: age, culture, occupation, smoking, coronary heart disease history, cerebrovascular disease history, microalbuminuria, Postprandial insulin, cholesterol, diastolic blood pressure and so on showed an correlation with MMSE score. Other factors were not correlated MMSE sorces.5. 175 hypertensive patients which have been measured Microalbuminuria, In the multiple logistic model only microalbuminuria and culture remained in the model, with regard to culture, illiterate, primary school, middle school, these three groups are prone to get cognition damage than university-or-higher group. Then to microalbuminuria, the most-ible to happen cognition decline by turns is higher abnormality, abnormality, normal gorup. So along with the degree of abnormality of microalbuminuria graver, the extent of cognition damage Sharpen.[Conclusions]: Concerning clinical data of primary hypertension patients of this study, after univariant correlation and the multiple logistic model analysis, besides culture, only microalbuminuria was correlated cognitive impairment, moreover, So along with the degree of abnormality of microalb-uminuria graver, the extent of cognition, damage Sharpen. Microalbuminuria independent of other factors e. g. age, BMI, blood pressure, blood sugar and so on, correlated cognition deterioration. So hint: microalbuminuria as a endothelial damage marker remaining as an independent risk factor of cognitive deterioration. Maybe is a clinical predictor and intervention factor, it's level can reflect Severity of cognition damage in some extent.
