To evaluate the psychological situations of the maxillofacial bone factures patients, discuss the relationship between the psychological situations and the bone fractures, and provide clinical treatment to improve the psychological situations of these patients. Fivety patients in West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University during the year 2006 - 2007 were selected to form the studied group. All these patients are identified with radiograph and CT in West China Hospital. All these patients are tested by the common situation questionnaire, simple coping ways questionnaire, the self-rating depression scale and the self-rating anxiety scale. We deliver these questionnaires to patients face to face. Then we collect the scales completed by patients themselves. We handle these dada with SPSS 13.0. The scores suggest that both the SDS scores and the SAS scores of the patients are relatively high compared with the common people. But the SAS total scores sign no significant difference between the SDS total scores, (p>0.05). 35 patients' scores are higher than that of common model. We establish the model with SPSS 13.0 to analyse the results. We analyse the SDS scores and the SAS scores to find out that the gender is related significant to the final result, the treatment cost, facial alternation, coping ways take relation with the scores and the family income, education background are negative correlation.Based on these findings, this study suggests that the psychological situation of the patients with maxillofacial fractures is always a negative psychological situation. And this kind of negative psychological situation may manifest the physical symptoms. It's significant for the daily nurse care and doctor's attention.
