The higher medical education is a rational combination of medical science andeducational science, which should follow the general rule of development of highereducation as well as the development rule of its own subject. The basic objective of thehigher medical education is to cultivate the qualified talents who have excellent medicalmorals and occupational quality with the conscience of healing the wounded and rescuingthe dying to enhance the health of people. The key element of education is educators, thusto build a teaching group with high comprehensive teaching quality, rational structure andfull of energy is a basic guarantee of cultivation of medical talents with high quality so as toenhance the sustainable development and modernization of medical schools as well as thewhole medical education..The teaching assistant of basic medicine is the starting point of their career, a routineroad of teaching growth, the key and resource of development of the whole subject. In thisperiod, the basic theory, specialty knowledge, occupational morel, teaching skills andscientific research practice will be developed for them. Therefore, the cultivation andtraining quality of this period is of great importance of construction and development in thefuture of the whole subject. At present, there is no teaching cultivation of medical science inschools of any country in the world. Most of the young teaching assistants are from thegraduates with medicine-related major from medical schools. They have a certain medicalspecialty theory and practical experience but lack formal teaching education, the completeand systematic training on educational theory and teaching skills, the full preparation formedical education jobs psychologically and in the aspect of knowledge, most of all, thedeep understanding of educational and teaching rules. To solve the problems, the pre-posttraining is primarily employed to furnish them the basic educational theory and practiceteaching experience arising from the ignorance of continuous education after work. Moreover, the backward level of whole training of medical teachers leads to the immaturestage of training work for the young teachers of basic medicine. Up to now, there are noclear training theory and practical structure system for it. The blankness of study on theconstruction for training model for teaching assistants of basic medicine, the continuousstudy in various stages after work, and cultivation education and so on, exists. Thus, tostudy and construct a formal training model for teaching assistance in the pre-post stage andall stage after work with scientific, rational and systematic and effective characteristics,putting the emphasis on the basic teaching ability , so as to enhance the comprehensivequality can not only strengthen the basic construction of teaching group of medical schools,but also is an important subject to enhance the sustainable development to realize thecomplete advancement of teaching quality of medical education..In the study, the author selected the dilemma and main problem existing in thecontinuous education of teaching assistants of medical schools of higher education as thestudying subject and employed the methods such as documentary analysis, questionnaireinvestigation, expert interview, compare analysis and data statistics analysis, based on thetheoretical exploration and definition on the formal training model for teaching assistants ofbasic medicine and the relative conception, the exploration and analysis of the presentstudy on training model for the newly appointed teachers, in line of the relative policies,regulations and rules of tenure of teaching jobs, and the features and practice of the subject,construct a formal training model for teaching assistants of basic medicine in medicalschools of higher education for the first time in order to be the elementary guideline forconstruction of training system of formal training model for teaching assistants of basicmedicine in medical schools of higher education, which can enhance the quality of thewhole young teaching group of medicine and provide the important evidence foroptimization of structure of teaching group of higher education.The study includes the following parts:In the first part, the related theory is discussed. After the literature review andinduction, the theoretical analysis and definition of related conception were made whichformed the theoretical evidence. By using the method the model study, the marriage of thetwo conceptions, the teaching assistants of basic medicine and formal training, was made.The conception of the formal training model for teaching assistants of basic medicine was first made in the field of medical education and its connation, extension and structuralelements were explored and explicated which provide the main logic line for furtherconstruction of the formal training model for teaching assistants of basic medicine andbecome one of the innovative pointes of the study.The second part is mainly about the investigation study and comparative analysis. Inthis part, the educational system and appointment system of teachers both in domesticmedical schools of higher education and across the world were analyzed so that thebreakthrough point was made. Then, around the topic of training the newly appointedteachers, the comparative study on the practice of training the newly appointed teachers inthe USA, the UK and Japan was made. Their common ground and difference were alsogiven. The review of history innovation and present situation of training the newlyappointed teachers were made, which provided a elementary evidence and fact ofconstruction of the formal training model for teaching assistants of basic medicine of highereducation.In the third part, the real construction of formal training model for teaching assistantsof basic medicine of higher education is made. In light of relative policies, regulations andrules of tenure of teaching jobs, from the perspectives such as the training objectives,training plans, training contents, training forms, training systems and the performanceevaluation, the formal training model for teaching assistants of basic medicine of highereducation was constructed.In the aspect of training objectives, in line of the policies of occupationalresponsibilities of TAs and specialty development of teachers, combining the subjectfeatures and real practice of basic medicine, the general objective of the formal trainingmodel for teaching assistants of basic medicine was made. By using the methods of expertinterview, the objective decomposition and classification, the objective element systemincluding knowledge, ability and attitudes, and this responsive sub-indicators was first built.The indicator weights of were made by the method of investigation questionnaires andAnalytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) so as to finish the objective system of training modelfor teaching assistants of basic medicine.In the aspect of objective and the way of realization, based on the feature of growth ofyoung teachers, the theory of continuous education law and tenure of teaching jobs, the "three stage" training plan of the training model for teaching assistants of basic medicinewas established by using the method of expert interview. By using the questionnaireinvestigation, interview and mathematical statistics, the contents of training teachingassistants of basic medicine were formed practically and theoretically. The various andflexible training methods in line of tenure of teaching jobs and training stages were detailed.Based on the system theory, the training system with core regulations, general regulationand assistant regulations was set up. At last, the processing evaluation and end evaluationfor the performance of the training system was discussed theoretically.The training model for teaching assistants of basic medicine fully shows theeducational idea of comprehensive quality development: emphasizing the theoretical bases,intensifying the practical ability and enhancing the quality in all round way. It also followsthe training idea: common ground emphasized, the requirement oriented, the continuabledevelopment and cultivating in all round way, and the principles of integrity, architecturefunctionality, objectivity and optimization. With the features of advanced idea, preciseposition, clear objective, complete regulations, scientific and rational contents and flexiblemethods, and easy operationality and controllability, the training system is comprehensive,standardized and sustainable.
