Objective: The ivestigation on the study of current was used to find out the incidence of cesarean in ChongQing, and to explore the impact of maternal choice of mode of delivery, to find effective measures to reduce the rate of cesarean section. So that the planning can be instituted and corresponding measures can be adpoted to reduce the rate of cesarean section to provide a scientific basis.Methods: Hospitals were extracted by Random cluster sampling method. Trained investigators used surrogate maternity factors questionnaire and her husband questionnaire to conduct on-spot survey.Data was dual inputted by Epidata and all statistical analysis was relied on SAS 9.0.Result: This study investigated a total of 599 pregnant women, 514 women who had deliveried, 85 women who was predelivering. There were 199 cases of maternal natural childbirth and 315 cases of cesarean section. Cesarean section rate was 61.3% in ChongQing. There are 186 cases of medical indications in cesarean section, accounting for 59% of cesarean section, 83 cesarean section were carried out before trial production, and trial production rate of 26.35%. In analyse of single factor, part of demology factors between the natural childbirth and cesarean delivery group, the mode of delivery which was hoped before delivery, suggestion of doctors, parent, and parent-in-law, instance on the pregnants'cognize of labour knowledge, degrees of check-up before delivery, singularity of the checking, the worry of embryos'health in the time of pregnant, the fear of natural childbirth, women's avoirdupois before labour and newbrons'avoirdupois, the rate of parturiency symptom, those differences between the two groups pregnant women who respective chosed natural childbirth and cesarean birth were statistically significant. The study in the pregnant school, frequency of pregnant and birth, pregnant women's pelvis exit string, those differences between two groups pregnant women who respective chosed natural childbirth and cesarean birth were not statistically significant.The days and total hospitalization costs in hospital to the pregnant women and newborns in the cesarean birth group were larger than those to the pregnant women and newborns in natural childbirth group, the differences were statistically significant.Logistic regression analysis, the total household income, pregnant women before delivery hoped natural delivery, whether the mode of delivery which the doctor adviced was the pregnant women hoped, pregnant women's views are consistent with their parents, cesarean section was the safety of delivery to children,whether there are abnormal in Prenatal checked and if pregnant woman worried the health of the fetus during pregnancy that eigth factors affected delivery of maternal choice, whose OR respectively were 1.172,9.451,2.598,2.238,5.879,1.606,3.271,4.206.Conclusions: The rate of cesarean section in ChongQing was high. Part of demology factors of pregnant women and their husbands, advices of doctor and pregnant womens'parents, instance on the pregnants'cognize of labour knowledge, degrees of check-up before delivery, the mode of delivery which was hoped before delivery, psychological factors and maternal obstetric cases were relate to choose the mode of delivery to pregnant women.
