In this article, the research, derived from the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine and that of modern medicine as well, was to investigate the etymology and pathology of depression.Clinical observation on the therapy of moxibustion concluded as follows:After 1 courses of treatment, there were 7 cures,9 markedly effective cases,6 effective and 8 ineffective in the 30 cases of the treatment group;while there were 6 cures,8 markedly effective cases,7 effective and 9 ineffective in the control group. The effective rates in the treatment and control group were respectively 73.33% and 70.00% while the cure rates were 23.33% and 20.00%.All above suggested that therapeutic effect in the treatment group was commensurable to that in the control one, which was supported by data analysed by statistics ( P>0.05).
