One group was the treatment group, the patients of which were treated with Chang Shu An Fang. The other group was the control group, with patients being treated with Tong Xie Yao Fang. Each group were made up of 30 cases. These patients all met the TCM diagnosis criterion. Results:After one course of treatment, significant difference was apparent in the clinical effects:In the treatment group,16 cases recovered and 9 cases significantly improved,(thus the effectual rate is 83.33%),3 cases improved. The total effective rate in the treatment group is 93.33%.In the control group,5 cases recovered and 4 cases significantly improved,(thus the effectual rate is 30.0%),12 cases improved. The total effective rate in the control group is 70%.There was statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the treatment group and control guoup(P<0.05).The effective rate from the treatment group isclearly superior. Conclusions:Above all, Chang Shu An Fang appears to have the significant effect in the treatment of IBS with diarrhoea caused by hepatic stasis,Spleen deficiency.
